RO4830™ thermoset laminates are well suited for price-sensitive millimeter wave applications, such as 76-81 GHz automotive radar sensors, and are a reliable, lower cost alternative to conventional PTFE-based laminates. RO4830 laminates have a slightly higher dielectric constant of 3.2 at 77GHz, versus PTFE-woven glass laminates. LoPro® reverse treated copper foil cladding contributes to RO4830 laminates’ excellent insertion loss at 77GHZ of 2.2 db per inch.

VOLTIS® Hgw TU 22 (PF CC 22) is a Round rolled phenolic cotton fabric laminate tube with high toughness for mechanical applications.

FR408 low dielectric constant (Dk) and low dissipation factor (Df) make it an ideal candidate for broadband circuit designs requiring faster signal speeds or improved signal integrity. FR408 is compatible with most FR-4 processes. This feature allows the use of FR408 without adding complexity to current fabrication techniques.

TMM® thermoset microwave materials are ceramic, hydrocarbon, thermoset polymer composites designed for high plated-thru-hole reliability stripline and microstrip applications. TMM laminates are available in a wide range of dielectric constants and claddings. The electrical and mechanical properties of TMM laminates combine many of the benefits of both ceramic and traditional PTFE microwave circuit laminates, without requiring the specialized production techniques common to these materials. TMM laminates do not require a sodium napthanate treatment prior to electroless plating.

Gillfab® 1167 and 1167A are excellent impact resistant laminates made from fiberglass cloth reinforced phenolic resin. Gillfab® 1167 has a white polyvinyl fluoride film overlay on the face side and Gillfab® 1167A does not.

RO3000® high frequency circuit materials are ceramic-filled PTFE composites intended for use in commercial microwave and RF applications. This family of products was designed to offer exceptional electrical and mechanical stability at competitive prices. RO3000series laminates are ceramic-filled PTFE based circuit materials with mechanical properties that are consistent regardless of the dielectric constant selected. This allows the designer to develop multi-layer board designs that use different dielectric constant materials for individual layers, without encountering warpage or reliability problems.

CIP Composites CIP121 is a commonly used in general industrial applications, wet or dry, where high shock or edge loading is anticipated. 100% polyester material (textile and resin) with the solid lubricants molybdenum disulfide (MoS2) evenly dispersed throughout the resin system.

Gilliner® 1076D is a high wear resistant Grade liner constructed from woven E-glass Cloth with a polyester resin system introduced specifically for use in the B737 lower sidewall. This product features resin rich surfaces to address wear through over frame sections and attach points that are associated with repetitive bulk cargo loading.

Atlas Fiber G-3 Sheet is an amber/brown material with a glass fabric reinforcement in a phenolic resin binder. G-3 is probably the strongest overall laminate with excellent tensile, compressive, impact, and flexural strength at elevated temperature.

Gillfab® 1367 is a high strength, low FST grade liner constructed using a combination of woven E and/or S-glass cloth with a modified phenolic resin system and a 1 ml white polyvinyl fluoride film overlay on the face side for surface reflectivity and uniform appearance

P96/P26 consist of a flame resistant, polyimide resin system suitable for military, commercial or industrial electronic applications requiring superior performance and the utmost in thermal properties. These products utilize a polyimide and thermoplastic blend resin, fully cured without the use of MDA (Methylenedianiline). This results in a polymer with a high Tg without the characteristic difficulties of brittleness and low initial bond strength associated with traditional thermoset polyimides.

Acculam™ Phenolfab Canvas CYBS is a laminate sheet comprised of a phenolic resin binder and woven canvas (cotton) substrate with graphite added to enhance self-lubrication.This material is characterized by good mechanical properties and toughness. It has similar mechanical properties to C/CE. It is not intended for applications needing electrical resistance. It has good machining qualities and good wear resistance.

Toray Toray Cetex® TC1000 Premium is a high-end thermoplastic composite, utilizing the amorphous PEI polymer for outstanding toughness and an inherently outstanding fire, smoke, and toxicity performance (< 15/15 OSU). With over 30 years in flight, Toray Cetex® TC1000 Premium is utilized in a consistently growing number of Applicationss. The material has gained a wide array of qualifications at Airbus, Boeing, and many other airframe OEMs. Compared to its semi-crystalline counterparts, Toray Cetex® TC1000 Premium can be used to achieve even shorter cycle times in part production. The material exhibits a superior bondability, which makes it very suitable for hybrid assemblies consisting of different materials. Toray Cetex® TC1000 is available as a UD tape and as a fabric prepreg, but is typically supplied in pre-consolidated reinforced thermoplastic laminates (RTLs) of varying thicknesses. Gillfab® 1100 is a rigid laminate made from fiberglass cloth reinforced polyester. Gillfab® 1100 has a layer of white polyvinyl fluoride film overlay.

VOLTIS® Hgw 2082 (PF CC 201) is a Viscoplastic material used for mechanical application.

Gilliner® 1566 and 1566T is a high impact resistant grade liner constructed of woven E- and S-glass cloth with a modified vinyl ester resin system to optimize strength, weight and cost. This product offers superior mechanical properties and higher strength-to-weight ratio compared to all E glass constructions. 1 mil. white polyvinyl fluoride film overlay on the face side is included for Gilliner® 1566T.

Arlon’s TC600 is a woven fiberglass reinforced, ceramic filled, PTFE-based composite for use as a printed circuit board substrate. TC600 is designed to provide enhanced heat-transfer through “Best-In-Class” thermal conductivity, while reducing dielectric loss and insertion loss. Lower losses result in higher Amplifier and Antenna Gains/Efficiencies. Mechanical robustness is also greatly improved for the 6.15 dielectric constant market.

Lamitex® X PF CP 21 paper/phenolic laminated sheet is primarily intended for mechanical applications. It has high relative mechanical properties but low electrical characteristics when compared to XX and XXX type materials. Special precautions must be taken to prevent cracking if the material is to be tapped or machined parallel to the laminations. Grade X laminate is frequently specified for use as mounting blocks or panels, washers and spacers.

Rogers RO3000® series bondply is an undensifi ed version of RO3000 laminates that can be used to process highly reliable, homogeneous RO3000 multi-layer boards (MLB’s). The bondply is used in a manner analogous to prepreg in FR-4 constructions and, once bonded, becomes the equivalent of a normal RO3000 core layer.

AD1000 is a high dielectric constant substrate that permits circuit miniaturization, compared to traditional low loss materials. It is especially beneficial for power amplifiers, filters, couplers and other components using low impedance lines.AD1000 is a woven glass reinforced laminate. This allows for Greater Dimensional Stability and Mechanical Robustness than other 10 Dk Products. Its large panel size is also advantageous for “multi-circuits per panel” processing.

Gilliner® 1066 is a general purpose laminate made from fiberglass cloth reinforced polyester resin. Gilliner® 1066 is available with a 1 mil white polyvinyl fluoride film overlay (Gilliner® 1066T) on the face side or with bondable surface panel facings (Gilliner® 1066S). Gilliner® 1066 comes in sheet or roll stock. Request Gilliner® 1066R for thicknesses under 0.060 inch (1.52 mm).

V2 Composites V2 T-Biscuits are custom carbon/glass fiber reinforced plastic laminates designed to repairfailed flange-to-flange shear connectors of pre-cast concrete (single & double) Tee beams. Aspecially engineered tri-axial carbon fabric is used to provide high strength, while a proprietarytextured glass fabric is bonded on the exterior face to provide additional toughness as well as arough bonding surface. Acculam™ Epoxyglas G10 nonFR comprised of a halogen free epoxy resin binder and a woven fiberglass substrate. It qualifies to NEMA G10 and MIL-I-24768/2.This material exhibits high mechanical strength and electrical insulating qualities under both dry and humid conditions. Its ease of fabrication allows its use in many structural and cryogenic applications where halogenated compounds may be undesirable.

Arlon 85HP’s unique blend of pure polyimide resin and micro-fi ne proprietary fi llers results in superior performance for demanding applications. Compared to conventional polyimide systems, 85HP has a lower Z-axis expansion and twice the thermal conductivity. 85HP reduces resin cracking and wicking in designs with high density plated through holes and vias. 85HP prepreg has resin fl ow characteristics and pressed thickness matching standard polyimides.
