While it boasts excellent compatibility with most products, special formulations should be tested for compatibility. However, caution is advised with high pH (> 11) and temperatures above approximately 60°C, as they can affect stability. Notably, (Ethylenedioxy)dimethanol is incompatible with strong acids or oxidizing agents. It serves as an ideal preservative for various manufactured products, liquid-cooling and processing systems, and working or cutting fluids to control microbial deterioration.
