Octopol 451 is primarily used as a corrosion inhibitor and is an excellent rust inhibitor. Some typical uses for Octopol 451 are in compressor/engine/gear oils, greases, and petroleum lubes. It is a low ash additive compatible with greases, industrial and automotive gear oils. Octopol 451 is used as an oxidation and corrosion inhibitor in many types of oils. Typical use levels are .25 – 1.0 percent by weight in lubricating greases and industrial gear oil.

Rianox 5067 is a hindered phenolic anti-oxidant.

Dober Chemical Corp. ACA-4 is used to make a global hybrid antifreeze. This hybrid organic acid technology (HOAT) provides protection against damaging rust and corrosion in automobile and truck cooling systems, including American, Asian, and European vehicles. This additive package is formulated to be phosphate-free, and does not contain 2-Ethylhexanoic acid (2EH).

Kancide 6992 can be added at any time during manufacturing. However, it is advised to add it as early as possible to give protection throughout the production process. Care should be taken to ensure that temperature, pH and redox potential at the point of addition are suitable for stability of the product. Kancide 6992 is compatible with most formulations in which its application is recommended. Reducing agents amines and other strong nucleophiles can cause degradation of the active ingredients. Users are therefore advised to carry out their own tests or seek further advice from Kimberlite prior to initial application.

The product offers extreme pressure, antiwear and antioxidant properties as an additive in lubricants and greases where heavy metals are not desired. Some typical uses for Octopol MB are in industrial gear oils, hydraulic fluids, and rust and oxidation oils. Octopol MB exhibits outstanding demulsibility and good thermal stability as well as excellent solubility properties in highly paraffinic base stocks. Typical use levels are 0.5 – 7.0 percent by weight in lubricating greases and industrial gear oil.

Evernox 76 is a hindered phenolic anti-oxidant.

Focus Base PS 12 is a cost effective, soluble oil emulsifier base package designed for use in both naphthenic and paraffinic oils. It can be used to formulate both soluble oils and semi-synthetic metalworking fluids. Focus Base PS 12 is formulated with a sodium sulfonate/succinic anhydride primary emulsion system and gives improved hard water stability and good rust protection with cleanliness. It assists in the prevention of soap and sludge build-up in sumps, reducing corrosion and microbiological problems. Focus Base PS12 does not contain chlorine, free sulfur, nitrites, phenols or heavy metals.

Octopol bis DMTD is used as an extreme pressure-anti-wear additive, anti-corrosion agent, and antioxidant for greases. Uses include greases, heavy equipment lubrication and an additive to be used in steel mills. The product has excellent extreme pressure properties when used in various greases and it should be used when extreme pressures are predominate. Typical use levels are 1.0 – 2.0 %. Octopol bis DMTD offers additional synergistic performance in combination with Octopol AD and Octopol MB in mining greases.
