Vinkocide® 824 is a formulation containing a mixture of 5-chloro-2-methyl-isothiazol-3-one and 2-methyl-2H-isothiazol-3-one (CMIT/MIT) with (Ethylenedioxy)dimethanol (EDDM). It penetrates microorganism cells, reacting with vital components and enzymes, thus disrupting normal cell function and preventing microbial adaptation. With a broad antimicrobial spectrum against bacteria, fungi, and yeasts, it proves effective even where other preservatives fail, particularly against Gram-negative bacteria. Combining excellent long-term efficacy with rapid action, Vinkocide® 824 is cost-effective due to its low use levels. Additionally, as it contains a formaldehyde releaser, it provides headspace protection in all types of in-can preservation. VANQUISH™ 100 Antimicrobial is based on the active agent N-butyl-1,2-benzisothiazolin-3-one (BBIT) and is recommended for use in tough and demanding applications especially those exposed to high UV levels. It is a broad spectrum antimicrobial used to prevent fungal, bacterial, and algal spoilage of polymers such as PVC, polyurethane, silicone, polyolefin, polyester, and acrylic articles such as shower curtains, coated fabric, vinyl wall coverings, floor coverings, appliance gaskets, wall and floor coatings, and swimming pool, pond, and ditch liners.
