Madewell® 1312S™ is a heavy duty, 100% solids, two component epoxy coating product. It is used for both new construction and maintenance of steel and concrete surfaces in pools, tanks, sumps, trenches, decks, and pipe interiors. Madewell® 1312S may be used as a topcoat over other Madewell® coating systems to add color and/ or seal the surface. M Madewell® 1312S protects surfaces against chemical attack under immersion, spill, and splash conditions, and impact and abrasion damage caused by rough use or heavy traffic. It is normally applied at a nominal thickness of 10 to 20 mils in two coats. Its monolithic construction resists moisture, chemical, and bacteria penetration while also being attractive and easy to clean. Its free spreading characteristics, fast set time, and ease of cleanup help to minimize labor costs and down time.

Admix C-1000 RED is added to the concrete mix at the time of batching. Admix C-1000 RED consists of Portland cement, very fine silica sand, a red oxide pigment and various active, proprietary chemicals. These active chemicals react with the moisture in fresh concrete and with the by-products of cement hydration to cause a catalytic reaction which generates a non-soluble crystalline formation throughout the pores and capillary tracts of the concrete. Thus the concrete becomes permanently sealed against the penetration of water or liquids from any direction. The concrete is also protected from deterioration due to harsh environmental conditions.

It is recommended for resealing some Miracote systems to improve overall energy savings, via reduction in conditioned air utility costs.
