ACI Plastics PTFE Regrind/Mechanical Sheet shows a remarkable chemical resistance and it is insoluble in all known solvents. It is attacked only by molten alkali metals and by fluorine at high temperatures. PTFE is a soft, low friction fluoropolymer with outstanding chemical resistance and weathering resistance. PTFE is a strong, waxy, tough, non-flammable synthetic resin produced by the polymerization of terafluoroethylene. PTFE is stable at temperatures up to 500ºF and it is often used in high temperature environments.

INOFLON® M295 has good flow high bulk density with good mold filling behavior and it is used in automatic and isostatic molding of parts, ram extrusion of rods and tubes.

PTFE gasket is manufactured by molding method with PTFE granular resin. PTFE compared with other plastics, has a superior properties against chemicals and temperature.

Rulon® 1337 is a tan material made entirely from FDA compliant components. It has excellent physical properties and is chemically compatible with most chemicals, except concentrated sulfuric acid. This offers much flexibility in wash-down environments of food and pharmaceutical processing environments. It has a slightly lower coefficient of friction than Rulon J, offering extended life and less abrasion with softer mating surfaces. It is compatible with most commercially available natural lubricants for additional reduction in friction.

Heroflon EG2 is a PTFE homopolymer which is pre-sintered pellet grade.

Bronze-filled PTFE contain high percentage of bronze powder (40 - 60%) yields high thermal conductivity and better creep resistance. It is often used in hydraulic systems, particularly superb as linear bearings, e.g. slides, gibs, guideways.

Vertec™ 1023 is bronze filled PTFE (polytetrafluoroethylene). It provides better creep resistance than most of the PTFE alloys. It possesses high compressive strength and good wear and sliding properties. Most common applications include piston rings (compressors), bushes, bearings, and wear pads for high compression sliding applications. Certain chemicals may easily attack bronze.

HaloPolymer PTFE Fluoroplast-4 grade PN40 (F-4PN40) is fully fluorinated resin which has an excellent chemical stability, electrical and mechanical properties. The material is a granular powder product designed for usage from small to medium billet compression molding, which is well suited to thin skived film applications requiring excellent physical and electrical properties.

Vertec™ 1021 is a filled PTFE (polytetrafluorethylene) material. It exhibits good sealability, low coefficient of friction and very low wear rate under dry running conditions. It is a little harder and a bit more abrasive than other similar use materials, 1011, and 1110, however it wears better and can handle higher speed applications. It is an ideal sealing material for use against metal surfaces in dynamic applications. It has performed especially well in air compressor applications such as piston cups.

ExpresSeal® Bronze Filled Teflon® (Brown) - BTFE has better wear, creep resistance and higher thermal conductivity than virgin and glass fiber filled PTFE. Poor chemical resistance in the presence of acids and alkali.

Vertec™ 1028 is bronze loaded PTFE (polytetrafluoroethylene). It has the best wear properties, remarkable deformation strengths and good thermal conductivity, but poor chemical resistance. It also possesses excellent creep resistance along with pure PTFE benefits like almost no moisture absorption, low friction coefficient and no flammability. It is often used in hydraulic systems. It is most suitable for piston rings, rider rings, and bearings.

ISO TECH Kunststoff GmbH ISO-PTFE - colloquially known as Teflon - offers very high chemical and thermal resistance. In combination with its extremely low surface tension, ISO-PTFE is a very suitable material for different, challenging applications in the chemical, pharmaceutical and food industries.

Arlon's AD Series is a group of woven fiberglass-reinforced PTFE composite materials designed for use as printed circuit board substrates. These materials combine the excellent low loss electrical properties of PTFE resin with the enhanced value of costeffective heavier fiberglass styles to provide low cost laminate materials suitable for high volume commercial wireless communication applications.The AD Series is currently available in a limited combination of dielectric thickness (0.015" - 0.062") and dielectric constant (2.5 - 3.5). Thicker dielectrics can be developed to meet customer requirements. The higher weight ratio of fiberglass to PTFE resin yields laminates with greater dimensional stability than is normally expected of PTFE-based substrates.Stability of PTFE over a wide frequency range and low loss makes AD Series materials ideal for a variety of microwave and R/F applications in telecom industry. AD Series laminate materials may be processed with standard PTFE materials. Because there is a relatively higher percentage of fiberglass, thermal expansion is reduced in all directions, improving plated through hole reliability.

Enflon® 131 is 10% carbon. Carbon has good chemical resistance to corrosive environments. It exhibits good initial wear and rubbing or sliding contact characteristics, both dry and water applications. It is frequently used in piston rings to reduce cylinder wall wear by entrapping abrasive foreign particles in their relatively soft surfaces.

Comco PTFE Pure / Teflon Virginal is a plastic with the highest resistance to chemicals and extremely low adhesion, it is a soft sintered material with a low level of mechanical resistance. Its most important properties are: resistance to almost all chemicals, very high continuous service temperature, 260 °C flame retardance, low coefficient of friction, extremely low adhesion, low strength and hardness and high frictional wear.

Manifattura Cattaneo POM c+PTFE is a Well-distributed combination of acetal resin + PTFE that highlight both the characteristics of POM C and those of PTFE, increasing the smoothness; therefore it has a low coefficient of friction and better resistance to wear and to temperature.

FLUORONOID® FL 103 is a glass fiber filled PTFE. This material may be inert gas sintered to further improve creep properties and reduce porosity and gas permeability. There will be a consequent loss of tensile properties.

Aqua colored low deformation material suitable for linear bearings and slides Rulon® 142 is a specially formulated dull blue-green linear bearing material that exhibits low wear, high thermal dissipation, and good dimensional stability characteristics.Among its many benefits are the virtual elimination of stick-slip, vibration dampening, self-lubrication, uniform friction, long life, ease of application and design diversity.Rulon 142 has excellent mechanical properties and is the ideal material for machine tool applications. Its low deformation characteristics limit the amount of misalignment that can occur with other bearing materials.Strong acids and bases should be avoided, as they may attack the fillers.

Rulon® 1410 is a gold material with excellent elongation and tensile strength suitable for flip seal and other flexible sealing applications. Coupled with low frictional characteristics, it offers the added benefit of energy savings and/or increased sealing efficiency.This material is also resistant to most harsh chemicals. It is also compatible with many commercially available lubricants for additional reduction in torque. It can also be used as a liner material for substrates requiring any of the above characteristics.
