StarPCS™ SBMC-601 is a discontinuous carbon fiber reinforced molding compound containing carbon fiber, a vinyl substituted polysiloxane resin, and refractory particulate. SBMC-601 cures at temperatures between 180-250o C and functions as a high temperature carbon fiber reinforced structure with a silicon oxycarbide ceramic. Curing produces a green fiber reinforced composite material. Further processing to 850o C (minimum) in inert gas results in an amorphous silicon oxycarbide matrix ceramic composite that can be used as a pre-form for use with different infiltration polymers or materials. Ideal infiltration polymers include Polyramic® SPR-688 or SPR-212 based slurries (SL-227, SL-480), and other Starfire® Systems polysiloxane products.

HTC™ 9593 is a chopped carbon fiber reinforced ESC® molding compound. It is easily moldable and provides parts that are high strength, fatigue resistant, with high heat resistance and a low density. The carbon fiber is standard modulus PAN based 3K tow.

This SMC has been developed for electrical application. SMC LPMC 7300 RF joint good mechanical properties and good fire protection grade SMC LPMC 7300 RF is formulated according to RoHS, REAC regulation SVHC and WEEE European legislation.

menzolit® SMC 0200 is a sheet molding compound based on unsaturated polyester resin. The product is glass fiber reinforced and contains mineral fillers. In case of fire the product doesn’t melt, neither does it form droplets nor is smoke generation excessive. The material is compression molded in heated steel molds. It is recommended to work with chrome plated tools. It does not contain any halogens nor any candidates from the REACH SVHC list.
