Phoenix Plastics Polydegrade is one of the industries most cost effective Oxo-Degradable additives on the market. It provides excellent thermal stability and more controlled degradability of the polymer without issues such as yellowing, odors, or pre-degradation. The additives used in manufacturing Polydegrade are non-heavy metal or oxide based; this results in more eco-friendly by-products released into the environment. The use of Polydegrade in polyethylene film applications such as T-shirt bags or grocery bags, both manufactured with TiO2 and CaCO3, can significantly affect degradation results. Polydegrade has addressed these issues resulting in very controlled rates of degradation, process ability and thermal stability, when exposed to outside environments of short-wave UV light (300nm – 400nm), heat, and oxygen.

Cel-Span® Purge 388 is a transition purge that contains several proprietary additives that are essential in the cleansing cycle of high temperatures and lower melting polyolefins. Temperatures above 500 °F may cause material to smoke. Cel-Span® Purge 388 can be used directly without any mixing necessary to clean most plastic equipment during color and resin changes. The unique additives and resin system in Cel-Span® Purge 388 makes it possible to cleanse color resins in less time, in most resin applications.

Cel-Span® Process Aid 315N is an effective compatibilizer and coupling additive with an additional stabilizing package added with regrind Polypropylene and Polyethylene applications in mind. Cel-Span® Process Aid 315N recommended usage is 1.5% to 3.0%. We also recommend that the rear zone temperatures are reduced by 15% – 20% and the front zone by 5% – 10%. Compatibilization of dissimilar resins is achieved through a non-acidic means to prevent additional degradation of the previously compromised regrind systems being utilized. The use of Cel-Span® Process Aid 315N increases physical properties by 10% - 20% depending on types of materials used and regrind conditions. Fiberglass is better orientated with the use of Cel-Span® Process Aid 315N allowing improved izod and tensile rating with enhanced gloss and esthetics.

Cel-Span® S 100 is a compounded additive for color stabilization and dispersion. A unique proprietary compounding technique makes it possible to pelletize the entire active stabilizer and dispersant in the formulation without adding additional heat history. Cel-Span® S 100 should be utilized at 0.25% to 1% consistently during the color concentration manufacturing processes for stabilization and dispersion. Cel-Span® S 100 also lessens degradation of pigments and enhances the brightness of color concentrates. The pigment is initially dispersed by dispersing agents in order to prevent the formation of uncontrolled flocculates; a process of contact and adhesion whereby the particles of dispersion form larger-size clusters. Stability of dispersion is a result of interplay of the heat (kinetic) energy of particles, attractive inter-particle forces, and repulsive forces; this also helps to limit short-range Van der Waals forces.

Cel-Span® Process Aid 101 is a 100% active (powder or pellet) internal lubricant processing aid with anti-static properties that are incorporated into the resin. Cel-Span® Process Aid 101 eliminates the need for an external mold release agent and improves resin flow, dispersion, resin additives ex:(reinforcements, fillers, and pigments), and reduces cycle time. The use of Cel-Span® Process Aid 101 will not have an adverse effect on the physical properties. Compatible with Polyethylene, Polystyrene, and Polypropylene.

Cel-Span® CFA 899 is a 40% active endothermic foaming agent concentrate recommended for extrusion applications for a variety of thermoplastic resins such as polyethylene, polypropylene, styrene, MPPO, and ABS. Cel-Span® CFA 899 is recommended for extrusion, and structural foam molding of applications that require a very fine cell structure compared to a typical endothermic foaming agent in esthetic applications.

Gaia® Fresh EG-600 Plus is a novel concentrate containing several additives used in film applications to enhance the freshness and controls the ripening process of fruits, flowers, and vegetables. Through controlling the ethylene gas absorption, water vapor, and oxygen permeation, Gaia® Fresh EG-600 Plus increases the life of fresh food items. Due to the micronized components films made with EG-600 Plus can be run as low as 6um with good bubblestability.

Cel-Span® Process Aid 610L is a processing concentrate in a compatible resin carrier used in extrusion and injection processes to enhance flow and reduce the processing temperature while increasing productivity for all types of polyolefin resins. Cel-Span® Process Aid 610L contains a unique additive that enhances the flow characteristics of polyolefin resins, reduces cycle time, while improving mold filling in multiple cavity molds. In extrusion and blow molding applications, Cel-Span® Process Aid 610L enhances flow and reduces processing temperature of polyolefin resins as much as 30 to 50 degrees. This reduction in processing and melt temperatures results in less polymer degradation, better color, lower cycle time and higher output especially in sheet, injection molding,and blow molding applications, and extrusion applications.

Cel-Span® Process Aid 705 is a product recommended as a replacement for the traditional phenolic and hindered amine combination for the thermal and ultraviolet stabilization of polyester resins during high temperature processing. Cel-Span® Process Aid 705 enhances the process window of Polyester and PET resins. In addition, this product maintains the IV (Intinsic Viscosity) of Polyester and PET resins coupled with excellent UV stability. Cel-Span® Process Aid 705 also provides protection to caustic environment and bleach resistance to Polyester and PET resins with both bottle and fiber grade products. It is important that this product be used at 2% - 3% with the Polyester or PET resin before the fabrication or molding process to take advantage of the excellent properties of the unique masterbatch. It will insure that the polyester resin is protected through the molding and life cycle of the parts

Cel-Span® CFA 899PS is a 20% active endothermic foaming agent concentrate recommended for extrusion applications for a variety of thermoplastic resins such as polyethylene, polypropylene, styrene, MPPO, and ABS. Cel-Span® CFA 899PS is recommended for extrusion, and structural foam molding of applications that require a very fine cell structure compared to a typical endothermic foaming agent in esthetic applications.

Cel-Span® Purge 385 is a multipurpose, binary engineered thermoplastic purging compound, formulated for blown film equipment. Cel-Span® Purge 385 is a cleansing compound specially tailored for most resins that are utilized in sheet and film extrusion processes. Cel-Span® Purge 385 contains several proprietary additives used to maximize thermal stability and reduce degradation and oxidative by-products occurring during the manufacturing process as well other contaminants produced in most olefinic resin processes.

Cel-Span® Purge 300 contains several proprietary additives that are essential in the cleansing process of high temperatures and lower melting polyolefins. Cel-Span® Purge 300 was created to be the least cost prohibitive cleansing compound on the market today. Cel-Span® Purge 300 can be used directly without any mixing necessary to clean most plastics equipment during color and resin changes. The unique additives and resin system in Cel-Span® Purge 300, makes it possible to purge color resins like Polyolefins, A.B.S., Styrenics, and HDPE, as well as high temperatures up to 600°F.

Cel-Span® UVS 717 is a (HALS) concentrate containing a stabilizer package for injection blow molding, extrusion and film applications for polyethylene. Hindered Amine Light stabilizers are the most effective light stabilizers for polyolefins. HALS is extremely efficient because these special additives continuously repopulate themselves during the UV stabilization process.

Cel-Span® Process Aid 701 is a molecular concentrate used as a replacement for the traditional metal halides for stabilization of Nylons at high temperatures. This product is used at 1% - 3% active level depending on the type of compound and processing conditions. Cel-Span® Process Aid 701 also provides gloss, ozone, and bleach resistance to nylon fibers, without the use of metal halide stabilizers.

Phoenix Plastics Purge-All Concentrate is a modified polyethylene concentrate containing a high level of cleaning additive to meet the needs of the polyolefin industry. Purge-All also allows processors to purge film, injection, and blow molding equipment without having to collapse the bubble, re-string downstream equipment, or purge to the floor creating fume-off exposure. This material comes out clean and clear, therefore you save time by not having to “purge” the purge material. Purge-All contains no abrasives, minerals, and non-meltable resins so it is perfect for applications where maintaining clarity throughout the purging process is critical. For easy measuring Purge-All comes in a 2.9lb containers. When mixed with a 55lb bag of resin, you create a 5% compound. Purge-All is best utilized at 5% in Polyethylene, Polypropylene, EVA, ABS, Polystyrene, and Metalocene resins of blown or cast film. Purge-All can also be used in hot-runner injection molding, extrusion, and blow molding applications.

Cel-Span® CFA 840 is a 40% active endothermic foaming agent concentrate, suitable for a variety of olefin resins such as polyethylene and polypropylene. Cel-Span® CFA 840 is recommended for extrusion, injection, and structural foam molding of polyolefins.

Cel-Span® Purge 388FG is a transition purge that contains long and short strand fiber glass in addition to several proprietary additives that are essential in the cleansing cycle of high temperatures and lower melting polyolefins. Temperatures above 500°F may cause material to smoke. Cel-Span® Purge 388FG can be used directly without any mixing necessary to clean most plastics equipment during color and resin changes. The unique additives and resin system in Cel-Span® Purge 388FG make it possible to cleanse color resins in less time, in most resin applications.

Cel-Span® FR 680 is a highly loaded 80% concentrate flame retardant tailored for a variety of applications including injection molding and sheet extrusion. Cel-Span® FR 680 was designed to be a cost effective retardant made for polyethylene requirements including the Boston Fire Department Test and the NFPA – 701 small scale test. The use of Cel-Span® FR 680 will result in excellent flame retardancy to pass several flammability requirements. Flame testing has shown that recommended levels between 8% - 25% are intended as guidelines, but optimization is necessary for each application because of the differences between equipment, resin systems, additives and flame retardancy requirements.

Cel-Span® Purge 609 is a high clarity ready to use thermal stablizier and purging compound. The product contains a unique chemical additive system targeted for applications where clarity must be maintained and resin contaminations are critical. Cel-Span® Purge 609 will remove all debris and because of its polarity, will not stay inside the barrel forcing processors to purge out the purging agent, an activity typical of most purges. None of the additives in Cel-Span® 609 contains a polyolefin resin. This product can be used as a shutdown stablizer for PC and polyester resins.

Gaia® Antimicrobial AB 505 is an organic concentrate that helps to control or retard the growth of bacteria, fungus, and algae in plastic molded parts. Gaia® Antimicrobial AB 505 is a powerful additive concentrate produced in an LLDPE carrier resin for ease of dispersion. This product has been used in film, injection molding, and extrusion applications to control growth of bacteria, yeast, mold, and algae. In independent testing, Gaia® Antimicrobial AB 505 has been shown to inhibit ecoli and staphylococcus. A loading of 1.5% - 3% will protect plastic articles for an estimated 1 – 2 years. Recommended temperature range should not reach above 428°F.

Gaia® Scent WG 300 is a unique additive concentrate containing aromatic essential oils, which are nature’s ultimate weapons against insects. The vapors from the plastic articles containing Gaia® Scent WG 300 create an invisible barrier that keep insects from people, plants, and household pets. Insects breathe through their bodies; therefore, the Gaia® Scent WG 300 or residue of the organic aroma is absorbed directly into the body, affecting the insect’s neurological or biological system, causing paralysis, confusion, a flight response, or death. The survival of the insects relate directly to their exposure to the aromatic aroma.

Cel-Span® Process Aid 606C in a polycarbonate resin carrier used in extrusion and injection processes to compatilize dissimilar resins into polycarbonate, couple additives and enhance flow and reduce the processing temperature and increase productivity for all polycarbonate resins. Cel-Span® Process Aid 606C contains a unique additive that enhances the flow characteristics of polycarbonate resins in injection molding processes, reducing the cycle time while improving mold filling in multiple cavity molds. In compounding, extrusion, blow molding applications, Cel-Span® Process Aid 606C also couples additives such as minerals, fiberglass, and flame retardants to polycarbonate resins, while increasing distribution. Compatilization of dissimilar resins, which might have contaminated resin streams, can be manufactured into more homogeneous matrices at lower percents without the use of acid type of compatilizers, which could increase decomposition of various resins. The reduction in processing and melt temperatures results in less polymer degradation, better color, lower cycle time and higher output especially in injection, blow molding and sheet applications. This product has no effect on the high clarity performance of most polycarbonate resins.

Cel-Span® Process Aid 333 is a compounded product intended for clear films containing a high level of thermal stabilizers to provide protection of film resins during high temperature extrusion and lamination processes, thus maximizing inherent the natural resins. Cel-Span® Process Aid 333 eliminates build up in both internal and external metal surfaces of the extrusion die, as well as reduction of wrinkles in thin gage films.

Cel-Span® FR 611 is a pelletized antimony and brominated concentrate that meets stringent flammability requirements defined by industry standards. Cel-Span® FR 611 is recommended for electrical sockets, timers, and light fixtures plus other applications where a UL rating is required.

Cel-Span® CFA 897 is a 40% active endothermic foaming agent concentrates recommended for extrusion applications for a variety of thermoplastic resins such as polyethylene, polypropylene, styrenics, MPPO and ABS. Cel-Span® CFA 897 is recommended for extrusion, and structural foam molding of polyolefins, polystyrene, MPPO and ABS. This product exhibits a very fine cell structure compared to a typical endothermic foaming agent in extrusion applications.

Cel-Span® S 310 is a compounded antioxidant concentrate in HDPE & LLDPE blends to provide thermal stabilization to polymers at high temperatures and during routine maintenance shut-down procedures. Cel-Span® S 310 is an effective shut down stabilizer for all polyolefin resins. It is used to protect these materials from thermal degradation during exposure to processing temperatures maximizing the inherent physical properties of the natural resins. When used at a 5-10% level, Cel-Span® S 310 can be left in extruders, dies, and other process equipment during routine maintenance “shut down and start up” procedures, to prevent unwanted polymer degradation, and help keep the process equipment clean and free of black specs and degradation.

Cel-Span® CFA 844 is a highly loaded 80% active endothermic foaming agent formulated for applications with high gas requirements. Cel-Span® CFA 844 concentrate releases carbon dioxide gas upon decomposition. This product is safe when used under the conditions of intended use. Upon complete decomposition (activation) of the C.F.A., the extruded and injected parts will become white, a color common to endothermic chemical foaming agents.

Cel-Span® 775 VCI contains a proprietary additive formulation tailored for multi-metal protection against the corrosive environment in packaging metal parts. Corrosion is a continuous, natural process caused by all metals as the materials try to expel their energy imposed during the manufacturing process in making steel. The use of VCI is one way to protect various metals from corrosion. This VCI product emits a vapor that condenses on the surface of the part and forms a non-corrosion-inhibiting layer, therefore stopping the corrosive cycle of the metal parts.

Cel-Span® Process Aid 332 is a non-clear compounded product containing a high level of thermal stabilizers and CAC0₃ to provide protection of film resins during high temperature extrusion and lamination processes, thus maximizing inherent physical properties of the natural al resins. CelSpan® Process Aid 332 eliminates build up in both internal and external metal surfaces of the extrusion die, as well as reduction of wrinkles in thin gage films. This product will extend Tio₂ up to 5% without loss of opacity.

Cel-Span® CFA 200 is a 50% active Binary foaming agent specially formulated with activators and self-nucleating agents that contribute to uniform cell formation and smooth surfaces. CelSpan® CFA 200 concentrate releases mostly N2 and CO2 gasses upon decomposition. This product is safe when used under the conditions of intended use. Upon complete decomposition (activation) of the C.F.A., the extruded and injected parts will become white, similar in color to endothermic chemical foaming agents. Cel-Span® CFA 200 is recommended for extrusion, injection, and structural molding of any kind of thermoplastics, except polycarbonate and thermoplastic polyesters.

Cel-Span® Process Aid 305 contains a powerful water-seeking additive that chemically combines and eliminates lensing and porosity in blown and cast extrusion, injection, compounding, and pipe applications caused by surface moisture or incorporated into the resin during processing. CelSpan® Process Aid 305 contains a very effective additive that chemically traps water to eliminate moisture. This product can be used to eliminate moisture in high temperature engineering resins such as nylon and is utilized by metering in at 2% - 5% depending on the level of moisture.

Cel-Span® CFA 800 is an endothermic foaming agent concentrate recommended for injection molding & extrusion applications for a variety of thermoplastic resins such as polyethylene, polypropylene, styrenics, MPPO and ABS. Cel-Span® CFA 800 is recommended for extrusion, and structural foam molding of polyolefins, polystyrene, MPPO and ABS. This product exhibits a very fine cell structure compared to a typical endothermic foaming agent in extrusion applications. This product has been engineered to eliminate splay and to exhibit good surface esthetics for solid injection foam parts.

Gaia® Antimicrobial AB 504 is an organic concentrate produced from citrus extracts that control or retard the growth of bacteria, fungus, and algae in plastic rotational molded parts. Gaia® Antimicrobial AB 504 is a powerful additive concentrate produced in an LLDPE carrier resin for ease of dispersion. Gaia® Antimicrobial AB 504 is used in the inner core of the rotationally molded structures. This product is used especially in molded polyethylene water tanks used throughout Latin America

Cel-Span® Purge 300HT-FG contains several proprietary additives that are essential in the purging process of high temperature resins and was created to be the least cost prohibitive high temperature purge compound on the market today. Cel-Span® Purge 300HT-FG can be used directly without any mixing necessary to clean most plastic equipment during color, and resin changes. The unique additives in Cel-Span® Purge 300HT, makes it possible to purge colors and degradation in less time than other purging compounds.

Cel-Span® Purge 300FG contains several proprietary additives plus short-strand fiberglass that are essential in the cleansing process of high temperatures as well as lower melting polyolefins. Cel-Span® Purge 300FG was also created to be the least cost prohibitive glass filled cleansing compound on the market. Cel-Span® Purge 300FG can be used directly without any mixing necessary to clean most plastic equipment during color and resin changes. The unique additives and resin system in Cel-Span® Purge 300FG, makes it possible to purge color resins like Polyolefins, A.B.S., Styrenics as well as PC and Nylon in less time and with less smoke than most cleansing compounds on the market.

Cel-Span® Process Aid 645 is a concentrate product containing a high level of thermal stabilizers plus other other additives to provide protection of film resins during high temperature extrusion processes, thus maximizing inherent physical properties of the natural resins. The additives use in CelSpan® Process Aid 645 also allows manufacturers to lower their gage thickness and increase physical properties like dart, puncture resistance, tear propagation, elongation and tensile. CelSpan® Process Aid 645 also lowers die pressure and helps to increase line speeds. Where lowering gage is not an option, the use of Cel-Span® Process Aid 645 increases mechanical properties between 10% and 25%.
