Fiberstar, Inc. manufactures and sells Citri-Fi®, a natural, upcycled citrus fiber made from byproduct of the citrus juicing process. The patented process, which is free from chemical modifications, opens up the fiber to provide high water holding and emulsification properties which benefit a variety of food products including bakery, beverages, dairy, meats, dressings, sauces, frozen foods, pet food, dairy alternatives and meat substitutes. Citri-Fi can be labeled as citrus fiber, dried citrus pulp or citrus flour. This citrus fiber is non-GMO Project certified, non-allergenic, and gluten-free. Citri-Fi has no E-number and is typically used to clean up labels by replacing starches, gums, chemical emulsifiers and/or stabilizers.
