Disruptive Materials is a Swedish company founded in 2013 with the mission to commercialize our patented and groundbreaking material Upsalite®, a mesoporous magnesium carbonate. The material arose from pharmaceutical research, at Uppsala University, led by Professor Maria Stromme. Porous magnesium carbonate was previously thought to be impossible as researchers had tried for over 100 years to make it. Upsalite can be found in products globally within personal care and cosmetics.
