About UsWe have developed specific engineering teams who possess an intimate knowledge of our customer’s applications across various industries and sectors. These teams provide a complete project management service – including intensive on-site value engineering analyzes and bespoke solutions designed to meet the exact needs of our customers.

Bespoke manufacturing facilities also mean James Walker Devol has complete control of the manufacturing process – from the material casting through to the finished machined components. Using the most modern equipment, James Walker Devol can tailor make products on both small and large scales. We have the capacity to mold, cast and machine components from 10mm diameter to in excess of 2,000mm. Individual components can weigh up to 1,000kg each.

We have invested heavily in materials development and testing, with specific laboratories for these purposes contained within our 8,200m facilities. As well as the capability to perform standard material tests, we have the flexibility and expertise to develop factory acceptance testing (FAT) as required.

Devlon materials are amongst the toughest and hardest wearing thermoplastics available. Produced by monomer casting, they provide a comprehensive range of wear resistance, impact strength and moisture absorption properties.

Devlon V-API provides similar performance levels to Devlon S-Grade but has been specifically tailored for high temperature and high pressure applications. Dimensional stability is a particular feature of this material due to its especially low moisture absorption, making it ideal for offshore applications where weight-saving, non-corrosive and impact wear properties are imperative.

Devlon S-Grade has the highest molecular weight of any Devlon thermoplastic, Devlon S-Grade offers superior mechanical properties, rendering it our premium of all engineering grade thermoplastics. Particularly suited for larger sized components, it yields optimum performance in rigorous and abrasive applications at ambient temperatures.

Devlon A153 is a specially formulated high viscosity Nylon 66, giving superior wear characteristics, improved strength and rigidity, providing greater design reliability when strength, weight and size are crucial.

Devlube is a self-lubricating material ideally suited for slow-moving, dry-running applications requiring low friction and where lubrication is not possible. Reduced wear through lower friction means excellent retention of physical properties and very little maintenance is required for this material.

Devlon T100 is our proprietary cast material which covers a wide range of applications. With its inherently stress free and excellent wear properties, low friction and improved impact strength, it is a proven work horse in a range of applications and industries.
