DeCAL 2170B is a highly efficient surfactant and versatile wetting agent. It is an aqueous/propylene glycol formulation containing the sodium salt of dioctyl sulfosuccinate. DeCAL 2170B can be post-added to a coating formulation to assist in the wetting of substrates with low surface tension, such as plastics and metals.

It is insoluble in water and only slightly soluble in n-octanol. DeCAL 9125 has a melting point of >200°C at 20°C and a relative density of 0.75 at 20°C.
