Commercial Potassium Citrate Monohydrate is the potassium salt resulting from the neutralization reaction between citric acid and potassium hydroxide. It is presented as transparent crystals or white granular powder. VEEGUM® HS Magnesium Aluminum Silicate provides maximum electrolyte stability and minimum acid demand. It is used pharmaceutical suspensions, hair care formulas containing conditioning agents, and facemasks. Its relatively low viscosity contribution allows it to be used at levels high enough to enhance skin cleansing. VEEGUM HS is a highly purified smectite clay suspension stabilizer, emulsion optimizer and rheology modifier. VEEGUM HS also reduces the slippery or sticky feel of gums and polymers, while providing a silky, tack-free feel in topical preparations. VANZAN® NF-C Xanthan Gum produces clear xanthan gum solutions for applications where clarity is essential. VANZAN® NF-C is widely used as a rheology control agent for aqueous systems. VANZAN® NF-C solutions is remarkably stable over a broad temperature range and will not change significantly between ambient temperature and 60°C. Additionally, VANZAN® NF-C has excellent freeze/thaw stability. VANZAN® NF-C is recommended for use in both acidic and alkaline systems and will retain nearly constant viscosity between pH 2 and pH 12. Mixtures of xanthan gum with water-swellable clays or certain galactomannans produce synergistic rheological effects. Stearoyl macrogolglycerides are mixtures of monoesters, diesters and triesters of glycerol and monoesters and diesters of macrogols (polyethylene glycols (PEG) with a mean relative molecular mass between 300 and 4000). They are obtained by partial alcoholysis of saturated oils containing mainly triglycerides of stearic acid using macrogol (PEG) or by esterification of glycerol and macrogol (PEG) with saturated fatty acids or by mixture of glycerol esters and condensates of ethylene oxide with the fatty acids of these hydrogenated oils.
