SILFOAM® SD 860 is an anhydrous silicone antifoam agent formulated with organofunctional silicone fluid and organic components. It exhibits excellent dispersibility in water. This antifoam agent is particularly suitable for use in organic systems that require a high level of compatibility with the antifoam agent. SILFOAM® SD 860 can effectively address challenges commonly encountered by silicones in various applications, including paints, adhesives, and water-miscible cooling lubricants.

Vertal® AF is a general-purpose talc/carbonate mineral additive, suitable for a broad range of applications, including polymers, ceramics, roofing, and asphalt. The benefits of Vertal® AF include improved dimensional stability, cross-flow mechanical performance, and flexural stiffness. It improves wet out of other additives and offers enhanced processability, improved crack and shrink resistance, and permeability reduction. The coarse particle size of Vertal® AF allows low dust, high bulk density, and minimum effects on viscosity of the melt/liquid media/carrier.

DIXIE CLAY® Filler is an air-floated fine particle size kaolin clay that can be used as a reinforcing filler in all types of coatings, adhesives, elastomers and latexes.

VANSIL® W-30 Wollastonite is a medium fineness (4 Hegman fineness) low aspect ratio grade of wollastonite that can be used as a general-purpose mineral filler in a wide range of liquid coatings and powder coatings. It is used as a TiO2 spacer and extender. The naturally high pH of wollastonite helps to buffer latex paints and coatings, which contributes to improved corrosion resistance and weathering. This also extends in-can stability and prolongs the lifetime of the coating.

Barium Carbonate is also known as witherite and used in applications such as bricks, ceramics, glazes, cement, the chemical industry and as a flux. The formula is BaC0₃ and other names include carbonic acid, barium salt and barium monocarbonate. It is manufactured from barite (barium sulfate) and is a white powder that comes in several variations of grain sizes.

Quarzsand is for industrial use, mighty, workable silica sand deposits are of decisive importance. Nevertheless, chemical purity and constancy are not enough in order to apply silica directly as a raw material. In Quarzwerke plants silica sands are thoroughly prepared. The raw material has to pass exten-sive cleaning-, classification-, drying- and iron-free grinding processes in order to produce silica sands, flours and powders. For the production of silica flours and -powders with a defined grain size distribution separation processes are required in addition to iron-free grinding. Quarzwerke are able to produce silica powders with grain sizes down to 1 μm due to a fine-tuned combination of grind- and classification technology. Another refining step is the surface-treatment with silanes or silan-based substances which can be adjusted to the respective application.
