Toray Toray Cetex® TC1000 Premium is a high-end thermoplastic composite, utilizing the amorphous PEI polymer for outstanding toughness and an inherently outstanding fire, smoke, and toxicity performance (< 15/15 OSU). With over 30 years in flight, Toray Cetex® TC1000 Premium is utilized in a consistently growing number of Applicationss. The material has gained a wide array of qualifications at Airbus, Boeing, and many other airframe OEMs. Compared to its semi-crystalline counterparts, Toray Cetex® TC1000 Premium can be used to achieve even shorter cycle times in part production. The material exhibits a superior bondability, which makes it very suitable for hybrid assemblies consisting of different materials. Toray Cetex® TC1000 is available as a UD tape and as a fabric prepreg, but is typically supplied in pre-consolidated reinforced thermoplastic laminates (RTLs) of varying thicknesses. Toray Toray Cetex® TC925 FST is a value-oriented engineered thermoplastic composite, utilizing a polycarbonate compound for impact toughness and good fire resistance. Although Toray Cetex® TC925 FST is a cost-effective material to begin with, the real cost saving on a part level lies in streamlining production with < 3 minutes per automated process cycle, cutting out most manual postprocessing and potential for error. Additionally, this material offers a very good surface quality. Toray Cetex® TC925 FST is available as a fabric prepreg, but is typically supplied in pre-consolidated reinforced thermoplastic laminates (RTLs) of varying thicknesses and lay-ups. Toray Toray CFRT® AG18-2L is a reinforced thermoplastic composite laminate. It blends the benefits of a thermoplastic polymer matrix with woven glass fibers in a plain weave for enhanced performance. The AG-18 2L style laminate is available in a dual-layer product with glass fibers in both directions (0° & 90°). This construction is ultra-thin, lightweight, and resilient for improved energy return.

Toray Toray CFRT® BW-1000 is a reinforced thermoplastic composite laminate. It blends the benefits of a thermoplastic polymer matrix with woven carbon and glass fibers in a basket weave for enhanced performance. The BW-1000 style laminate is available in a single-layer product; carbon in one direction and glass fibers at a 90° orientation to the carbon that is ultra-thin, lightweight, and resilient for improved energy return.

Toray Toray Cetex® TC930 is a thermoplastic composite using a high density polyethylene (HDPE) matrix. This product is commonly used in pipe overwrapping Applicationss because of its high hoop strength, low modulus, and excellent chemical resistance. Toray Cetex® TC930 is available in a pigmented glass-reinforced tape. Indefinite at 25°C (77°F).

Toray Toray Cetex® TC920 is a high-impact strength polycarbonate/ABS blend designed for consumer electronics. It features a high-quality surface finish, is easily formable to the desired shape ranging from computer cases to smart phone cases. Intricate details can be easily overmolded for clips and brackets using injection grade PC/ABS. It is an amorphous polymer that can be easily painted or bonded. It is UL94 V0 rated. It is offered on unidirectional carbon fiber, glass fiber, or carbon fabrics for good fire resistance. Indefinite at 25°C (77°F).

Toray Toray CFRT® TW-2000 is a reinforced thermoplastic composite laminate. It blends the benefits of a thermoplastic polymer matrix with woven carbon fibers in a twill weave for enhanced performance. The TW-2000 1L & 2L style laminate is available in a single or multilayer product; carbon fiber reinforcement at 0° and 90° orientations that is ultra-thin, lightweight, and resilient for improved energy return.

Toray Toray Cetex® TC1320 New is a high-end thermoplastic composite material, utilizing the semi-crystalline thermoplastic polymer PEKK for excellent elevated service performance. Qualified for use in aerostructures, this material has a proven applicability in aerospace. Toray Cetex® TC1320 offers outstanding mechanical performance and good hot/wet strength. The semi-crystalline nature of the resin ensures an excellent resistance to chemicals and solvents, and an equally superior performance in flammability properties. Toray Cetex® TC1320 is available as a UD tape, a fabric prepreg, and as reinforced thermoplastic laminates (RTLs) of varying thicknesses. RTLs can be equipped with lightning strike protection, and carbon reinforced RTLs can be supplied with a thin glass top layer to protect a partly metallic assembly against galvanic corrosion. Toray Toray Cetex® TC1100 is a high-end but cost-effective thermoplastic composite material, utilizing a semi-crystalline PPS polymer for excellent mechanical properties and an outstanding chemical and solvent resistance. With over 7 million parts in flight and qualified for structural Applications at Airbus, Boeing, and many other airframe OEMs, Toray Cetex® TC1100 offers a great balance between cost and performance, both mechanical and chemical. The material is inherently flame resistant (< 35/35 OSU) with low smoke emission. Toray Toray Cetex® TC960 is a polypropylene-based thermoplastic uni-directional tape. It is part of Toray’s CFRT® (continuous fiber reinforced thermoplastic) line of industrial thermoplastic composites. This thermoplastic composite is designed for Applicationss that require high impact resistance, but where cost is a factor. The impact toughness of glass fiber/ polypropylene composites make them ideal for use in truck bodies, vehicles, and vehicle enclosures. Polypropylene Thermoplastic Composite. Toray Toray CFRT® TL-6000 is a reinforced thermoplastic composite that blends the benefits of a thermoplastic polymer matrix with woven carbon fibers for enhanced performance. Within the product range, 2 layer (MOD1, 2L), 3 layer (3L), or 4 layer (4L) products are available, all ultra-thin, lightweight, and resilient. This material can be drilled, ground, polished and adjusted after being formed with a heated gun. TL-6000 has a smooth high-gloss finish and transparent surface to show woven carbon fiber.

Toray Toray Cetex® TC910 is a thermoplastic composite using a polyamide 6 (PA6) matrix resin. This product provides excellent mechanical performance at a good price-to-weight ratio. It features high strength and wear resistance and performs well at elevated temperatures. TC910 is also resistant to solvents. As a result of these attributes, Toray Cetex® TC910 is commonly used in a variety of automotive and transportation Applicationss. Toray Toray Cetex® TC1225 is a high-end thermoplastic composite material, utilizing a semi-crystalline engineered PAEK resin for excellent mechanical performance. The distinctive value of Toray Cetex® TC1225 over other composites with a PAEK family matrix is its superior processability due to a low melt viscosity and reduction in processing temperature by 50–75°C (122–167°F)*. Toray Cetex® TC1225 doesn’t only yield a high-quality product used in ATL/AFP processes, it speeds up cycle times enabling cost-efficient production in all available formats. Additionally, Toray Cetex® TC1225 is an ideal composite to be overmolded with neat or short fiber reinforced PEEK resin, creating a very strong bond. Overmolding, integrating continuous fiber reinforced composites in an injection molding process, combines the strength of high-end composites with the design freedom and complexity of injection molding parts. The carbon fiber (graphite) provides strength, stiffness, and durability. TL-2100 Semi-Flex, Semi-Rigid, Rigid, and Ultra differ only in terms of the volume of carbon fiber used and the thickness of the sheet material.
