PRF Composite Materials RP542-4 is a controlled flow, toughened epoxy prepreg system formulated for the manufacture of high performance structural composite parts requiring very good impact strength properties. The system has been formulated for a medium temperature cure of 80 - 120°C under vacuum or autoclave pressure and is also suitable for press molding. Fully cured, this system has a dry service temperature capability up to 120°C. The component surface finish with this system is excellent. The tack level of this system has been optimized to meet the constructor’s requirements and will be retained for up to 60 days at 20°C making this system suitable for the manufacture of large composite components. RP-542-4 can be supplied on most of the vast range of PRF reinforcement materials in widths up to 1350 mm wide.

Toray EX-1510 is a highly modified two-part toughened cyanate ester resin formulated to have extremely low viscosity at room temperature. Its viscosity allows resin transfer molding (RTM) to take place without the Applications of heat to the resin. This feature provides long resin pot life and mold filling time for difficult and/or large RTM’d structures and helps increase manufacturing efficiency and reduces waste. EX-1510 displays excellent mechanical and thermal properties in addition to low moisture absorption. Finally, the material is unique in that it develops full mechanical properties from its initial 177°C (350°F) cure. A freestanding post cure increases the heat resistance.

PREPREG Low temperature, system BX (epoxy resin) are based on modified epoxy resins with an extremely wide curing range from 55 ° C to 185 ° C and meet the requirements of a low-pressure / low-temperature PREPREG. AIREX® T90 is a closed-cell, thermoplastic and recyclable polymer foam with excellent fire, smoke & toxicity (FST) properties. It has very good mechanical properties and an extraordinary resistance to fatigue, is chemically stable and has negligible water absorption. It is thermally stable during high temperature processing and post curing. T90 is designed for easy use with all resin systems and processing technologies. AIREX® T90 is the ideal core material for structural sandwich applications requiring high fire resistance.
