This injection moldable grade exhibits high heat resistance, excellent chemical resistance, high melt flow, and added mold release. NORYL GTX918A resin may be an excellent candidate for automotive under-the-hood and electrical applications requiring the retention of properties while under thermal load. SABIC's Specialties Business NORYL GTX679 resin is a conductive, mineral reinforced alloy of Polyphenylene Ether (PPE) + Polyamide (PA). This injection moldable grade is optimized to allow for primer-less electrostatic painting. NORYL GTX679 resin has improved impact / elongation, and the mineral content allows for the material to be used in structural applications such as metal and thermoset resin replacement. This high performance injection moldable grade has a UL 5VA flame rating, non-brominated / non-chlorinated FR package, UL746C Outdoor Suitability rating of F1, excellent chemical resistance, high heat resistance, and flow. NORYL GTX4610 resin is an excellent candidate for a wide variety of electrical applications including connectors, sockets, sensors, terminal blocks, and insulator components. SABIC's Specialties Business ULTEM™ Resin PW1000 is an unreinforced amorphous polyetherimide (PEI) resin that may offer a high glass transition temperature (Tg) of 217°C and potable water certifications, NSF61, REG4, KTW-BWGL, W270, ACS, WRAS. The materials also have food contact compliance (FDA, CN, EC). Features are excellent mechanical, and dimensional properties up to high temperatures and under wet conditions. The material may offer very good hydrolytic and chemical resistance for an amorphous material and is inherently flame retardant offering UL94 V0 and 5V ratings. The material is RoHS compliant. Certified colors are natural (transparent amber) and black. SABIC's Specialties Business NORYL PPE 640 powder is a medium-high molecular weight polymer based on Polyphenylene Ether (PPE). This material is intended for use as an additive or a building block in a variety of thermoplastics and thermoplastic elastomers such as Styrenic Block Copolymers. PPE powder can be used to improve properties (i.e. Heat Distortion and Creep Resistance). It is hydrolytically stable and non-hydroscopic (typically less than 0.2% water uptake). The polymer is soluble in common organic solvents like toluene, chloroform, and THF.
