FoamStar® ED 2522 is a high-performance, ultra-low SVOC silicone emulsion defoamer for premium water-based paints, clear coats, and inks. It provides excellent foam suppression during grinding and application, retains antifoam efficiency during storage, and is easy to incorporate without the use of strong shear forces. Its chemical nature involves an emulsion of organo-modified silicones.

Tinopal® OB CO is a fluorescent optical brightener that offers excellent heat resistance, high chemical stability, and brilliant bluish whitening effects. It exhibits good compatibility with a wide range of resins for coating and printing ink applications. This product is available in the form of a yellow powder.

AFCONA 3730 is a leveling agent for solvent-based and solvent-free coatings. AFCONA 3730 is a high molecular weight polyester polymer which offers good leveling properties. It is very compatible with the oil-free polyester resins that are used in can coatings. This means it is very suitable for use as a leveling agent for clearcoats and pigmented coatings, as it will not give haze, orange peel or other side effects to the coating.

AFCONA 2050 is a strong defoamer for most solvent-based coatings. AFCONA 2050 offers very strong defoaming and anti-foam performance with good compatibility in many resin systems. It is suitable for solvent-based coatings, printing inks and thermosetting resin systems. The product eliminates foam and blistering, regardless of whether the air bubbles are caused by the substrate.

AFCONA 2020 is a very strong defoamer suitable for most solvent-based coatings, printing inks, and thermosetting resin systems. It eliminates foam and blistering, regardless of the source of the air bubbles. However, it is not suitable for transparent, high-gloss clear topcoats.

Lo-Vel® 6200 belongs to PPG's synthetic precipitated silica product line, which reduces the gloss of coatings, varnishes, and other finishes. It offers high flatting efficiency, compatibility with various coating systems, and ease of redispersion. This product line delivers a balance of clarity and flatting for overprint varnish and topcoats. This ASCONIUM® grade can be used as the sole anti-corrosion additive in coatings or in conjunction with other anti-corrosion pigments to improve their performance. As a liquid-type additive, it is easy to incorporate into coating formulations and will not reduce the gloss of the coating’s dry film.

AFCONA 2040 is a moderate defoamer with minimal side effects that prevents the formation of foam and blisters during manufacturing and application. It offers a combination of good defoaming and compatibility with most resin systems. It is recommended for medium-viscosity applications applied by spray and brush, and is particularly suitable for systems ranging from low polarity to high polarity. AFCONA 2035 is recommended for brush and conventional spray applications.

AFCONA 2045 is a silicone-based defoamer used to prevent the formation of foam and blisters during manufacturing and application of solvent-based coatings, including polyurethane clear coats. It is effective even in difficult situations such as airless spray, brush, and roller application, and has strong defoaming properties with a very good transparent appearance.

LO-VEL® 8300 flatting agent is a synthetic amorphous precipitated silica treated with a functionalized wax. It is designed for use in waterborne and solvent-borne coatings, and is suitable for coatings with a dry film thickness of less than 1 mil (< 20 microns).

Deuteron® Wax A is a micronized amide wax known for delivering an excellent velvet surface feel and enhancing grain (anfeuerung). Texicryl® S-12 is a styrene acrylic resin soluble in alkalis, developed for water-based coatings and inks. It comes in solid form and enhances the gloss and resolubility of water-based coatings for the graphic arts industry. Optimum pigment grinding is achieved by making resin solutions at 30 - 35% solids content, while clear coatings require maximum solids for the highest achievable film build.

Texicryl® S-09 is an alkali-soluble styrene acrylic resin developed for water-based coatings and inks. The resin is supplied in solid form and is designed to impart gloss and resolubility to water-based coatings in the graphic arts market. It is easily dissolved in water at elevated temperatures in the presence of ammonia or other suitable amines. Solutions of the resin must be kept above pH 7 to prevent the resin from reverting back to its solid form.

Texicryl® S-02 is a low-molecular-weight, alkali-soluble styrene acrylic resin developed for water-based coatings and inks. The resin is supplied in solid form and is designed to impart gloss and resolubility to water-based coatings within the graphic arts. It is readily let down at elevated temperatures in water in the presence of ammonia or other suitable amines.

Domopol 8260 65 BG is a water thinnable acrylic modified saturated polyester resin designed for exterior white basecoats and overprint varnishes.
