WeylClean® SKS-6 WB is a layered sodium disilicate, a modern water softening system that works via ion exchange processes without the formation of precipitates. Lanphos TEP4K is a phosphate ester manufactured using polyphosphoric acid resulting in a product that is predominantly mono-ester. The main advantage of a phosphate ester over a conventional anionic is it’s excellent stability in high concentration of acid, alkali and electrolyte. Lanphos TEP4K is supplied in neutral form as a potassium salt and behaves as a hydrotrope for the solubilisation of both anionic and nonionic surfactants into high concentration of electrolyte.

Kemsurf DSA is fatty alcohol sulfate neutralized as a sodium salt. This product offers good detergency and wetting and is mainly used in cosmetic and toiletry applications. This product is compatible with other anionic and nonionic surfactants. However, as with other products of this chemical type, they tend to hydrolyse in acidic environments. Kemsurf DSA can also be used in the production of Poly Vinyl Chloride (PVC) via emulsion polymerisation.

It micro-emulsifies MSO effectively with ethylene glycol mono butyl ether as its coupling agent. Accoquat® CS-4000 can produce micro-emulsions with MSO from 10-30% MSO concentration, (depending on the properties of the MSO), however is most cost effective from 15-30% MSO concentrations. Accoquat® CS-4000 generally does not require additional emulsifiers or other nonionic surfactants to produce an easily dispersible and fine micro-emulsion for rapid beading and spreading. With substantially less emulsifier it is very cost effective for ultra-type drying aids.
