Trelleborg Industries UK Nylon which are nylons are a family of synthetic polymers known as polyamides. They can be used to make mechanical parts such as gears and screws, and can also be extruded. Nylons are lightweight and resistant to corrosion and abrasion. FDA and USP Class VI grades are available. Medical tubing applications include suction, drainage, feeding tubes, dialysis, peristaltic pumps and other surgical procedures.

Trelleborg Industries UK FEP is a copolymer of hexafluropropylene and tetrafluroethylene and differs from PTFE in that it is melt-processable using injection molding and screw extrusion techniques. Providing low friction, it is inert to most chemicals and is also highly transparent and resistant to sunlight. FEP is slightly more flexible than PTFE but has higher friction and lower tensile strength.

Turcon® Varilip® PDR is constructed from one or multiple Turcon® Polytetrafluoroethylene-based sealing elements, which are mechanically retained in a precision machined metal body, Turcon Varilip PDR (Performance, Durability, Reliability) rotary shaft seals provide positive dynamic sealing at high rotary speeds characterized by low friction and stick-slip-free running, the seal reduces temperature generation, permits higher peripheral speeds and lowers power consumption. Tests show that Turcon Varilip PDR requires only around 50 percent of the torque of a radial oil seal when running in Fomblin oil, commonly used in semiconductor vacuum pumps. This results in a long-service life, with maximized mean time between planned maintenance and greater productivity.

Trelleborg Industries UK TPE are a copolymer mixture of a rubber and a plastic and exhibit properties of both materials. TPEs require virtually no compounding, reinforcing agents, stabilizers or curing agents, providing consistent batch to batch properties. When extruded into tubing, the material is translucent, flexible, resists kinking, making it ideally suited for pumping and fluid transfer applications.

Zurcon® Dualseal is a sealing element for static applications and a highly effective alternative to an O-ring and Back-up Ring combination. The main advantages are resistance to twisting, stability at pulsating pressures and low contamination risk. Zurcon Dualseal is easy to install and guarantees long service life. Recommended for heavy duty applications in cylinders and valves.
