It is for use in applications where a highly conductive surface is required on a flexible surface eg, PU elastomer, PVC, rubber variants, fabrics, leather etc, particularly where anti-static and ESD (electrostatic discharge) protection is required.

- ECP 574/JSF181/4125 is generally applied directly to a clean and grease-free substrate. Typical applications would include eliminating static from electronics in sensitive areas eg touch screen monitors and flexible keypads in hospitals and also ATEX handling environments such as oil rigs etc.
- Thinners may attack some plastics, trial before applying. ECP 574/JSF181/4125 is thinned with approximately 15-30% thinners (ECP 635/2681) for spraying or 10% thinners for brushing.
- ECP 574/JSF181/4125 is an air-drying coating that is touch dry in approximately 5 minutes at 200C, hard dry in 20 minutes with full properties in around 1 hour.
- ECP 574/JSF181/4125 can be cross-linked with a special isocyanate hardener, ECP 536 Pt.B using approximately 10% by weight. The hardener is supplied separately and should be added immediately prior to using the paint. Pot life is approximately 8 hours. Cross-linking confers improved toughness, weathering and chemical resistance but at the expense of flexibility and conductivity.
