- Directions for Use
Surface Preparation: All contaminants including mold release, grease and dirt must be removed. Mask areas that do not require spraying.
Mixing: Shake vigorously for a minimum of 2 minutes to evenly distribute contents. Spray a small area to check compatibility with the substrate.
Application: Operate in an upright position, spraying in light, even strokes from side to side to avoid flooding. Shake briefly at intervals during spraying. On completion, invert the aerosol and spray to clear the valve and nozzle. It is advised to clear any excess material from the nozzle at frequent intervals to prevent blockage. If the nozzle blocks, use a pin to clear the opening, or remove the nozzle and flush with toluene, xylene or MIK. Replace the nozzle taking care to point the opening away from you.
Precautions: Pressurized container. Protect from sunlight and do not expose to temperature exceeding 50°C. Do not pierce or burn, even after use. Do not spray on an open flame or any incandescent material. Keep away from sources of ignition. No smoking. Consult health and safety data before use.
Drying: ECP 555 is touch dry in approximately 5 minutes and to handle in about 10 minutes depending on ambient temperature and film thickness. Best results will be seen 4 to 16 hours of air drying (dependent upon film thickness and ambient temperature). It can be force dried for 20 minutes at 600C after a short flash-off time.
Quality Control: Measure the surface resistance after the coating is fully dried. Digital ohmmeter measurements using the same type of fixed test probe rigs avoids confusion and is highly recommended, although corner to corner readings are also frequently used.
Cleaning: Masks can be easily cleaned with solvent. Overspray can be removed from plastics with a 40/60% acetone/IPA wipe.
