Radiation Cured Coatings: The resin is soluble in most acrylate monomers and oligomers for easy use in UV and EB cured coatings. The colorants can be cut into a reactive monomer to make a concentrated liquid colorant, or directly into the finished coating with moderate agitation. Care should be taken when mixing into monomer to prevent temperature increase that may shorten the shelf life of the liquid colorant or finished coating. Powder Coatings: Dispersions can be metered into the extruder in the same manner as simple pigments. Chip size is controlled for ease of incorporation with minimal dusting. Pigment particle size is much finer than can be achieved in a normal extruder dispersion process providing superior transparency, greater color strength and higher gloss in thin film applications.
