Application Process
  • Geomet® 720 can be applied by Dip-Spin, Spray, Dip-Drain-Spin using bulk or rack.
  • The process of applying Geomet® requires the substrate to be clean bare steel -- free of oil, heat-treat scale, rust and other contaminants.
    • Dip Spin is widely used bulk processing system for small parts.
    • Spray for specialized parts or large parts typically one half pound or larger.
    • Dip Drain spin for large parts such as tubes.
  • Parts are subjected to a five minute minimum pre-cure at 200°F to set the coating, followed by a higher temperature at 625°F for a complete cure.
