It provides a strong film at room temperature for use in low sheen interior flat wall paints. This product allows the formulator to minimize the level of coalescent. Rovene 6023 is an all acrylic emulsion suggested as a polymer modifier for hydraulic cementitious mixtures for repair, basecoats for EIFS, decorative overlays and tile grouts or mortars. Addition of 5 - 15% (d/d Portland cement) improves flexibility, strength and water resistance. Rovene 6023 in portland cement mixtures results in increased adhesion to most substrates, improved water resistance, increased flexural strength and good resistance to UV light. Rovene 6023 does not contain antifoam. The addition of an effective antifoam is generally required to avoid a high air content in the hydraulic cementitious mixture. Many antifoam products have been found effective at levels of 2.5% wet on wet by mass.

Rovene 4220 is a non-carboxylated styrene-butadiene emulsion recommended for use in formulations directed at contact or cold seal applications. Rovene 4220 can also be used in architectural adhesives including many types of flooring adhesives and special contact adhesives. Rovene 4220 can be used as a polychloroprene and natural latex extender if properly formulated. When working with Rovene 4220, it is important to remember that it may be tackified, thickened and blended with other non- carboxylated and carboxylated emulsions. This flexibility allows for the formulation of a wide variety of adhesives with custom performance properties.

Rovene 4111 was designed with a specific particle size that greatly improves the spacing between titanium dioxide particles resulting in increased opacity. Additionally, using Rovene 4111 may allow a formulator to reduce the level of titanium dioxide in an ink formulation.

The emulsion can also be used as the non-skid component in formulations. Because of the low glass transition temperature, Rovene 6104 has good adhesion to treated flexible films. Rovene 4423 is a very soft carboxylated styrene-butadiene emulsion designed for formulation of permanent label adhesives and flooring adhesives. This polymer emulsion allows for the formulation of permanent label adhesives which are high in peel and tack, yet require a minimum amount of tackifier. However, it provides good tack on its own, thus minimizing the amount of tackifer required. Rovene 4423 was designed to give excellent performance and compatibility with a wide variety of dispersed tackifiers. Rovene 4423 can also be blended with natural latex for high shear tape adhesives and for use in special contact adhesive applications.
Rovene® 4049

Rovene 4049 is a carboxylated styrene-butadiene emulsion that has a medium hand with above average strength properties. Rovene 4049 is recommended for use in a variety of applications including specialty paper coatings, textile and nonwovens, adhesives and paper lamination where high water and grease resistance films with low moisture vapor transmission is needed. Rovene 4049 can be compounded to high solids using calcium carbonate, clays and alumina trihydrate. Sodium polyacrylic thickeners are commonly used to obtain the required application viscosity. These compounds dry rapidly and impart good tensile strength with excellent adhesion to a wide variety of substrates.

Rovene 6090 is a functionally modified, water-based vinyl acetate copolymer latex. As a water-based release coating, Rovene 6090 is recommended as a blending component for Rovene 6091 to modify the degree of adhesive release. Inks and overprint varnishes formulated with Rovene 6115 dry fast, clean up easily on press, and can be easily formulated with graphic arts industry standard products and additives.

Rovene 6017 is recommended for bonding nonwovens where a firm, durable binder is needed such as highloft webs, interlinings, and medical applications. Rovene 6017 provides excellent dry and wet tensile strength as well as good solvent resistance. Nonwoven webs bonded with Rovene 6017 also resist yellowing at standard processing temperatures.
