GP BKS-2640 resin is used in nitrile adhesives; can, pail and drum linings; and pipe coatings. It is used in plastisol primers and adhesion promoters for solution vinyl resins.

GP BKS-2640 coating resin is compliant with FDA 21 CFR Part 175 Indirect Food Additives: Adhesives and Components of Coatings per 175.105 as a component of an adhesive and 175.300 as a resinous and polymeric coating. It complies with 176.170 Indirect Food Additives: Paper and Paperboard Components in contact with aqueous and fatty foods as a component of adhesives and resinous and polymeric coatings. It also complies with 176.180 Indirect Food Additives: Paper and Paperboard Components in contact with dry foods as a component of adhesives and resinous and polymeric coatings and 177.1210 as a component in closures with sealing gaskets for food containers.

- It is recommended that heat-reactive GP BKS-2640 resin be stored in a dry place at temperatures at or below 50°F (10°C) to optimize shelf life. Storage in sunlight should be avoided. Storage life is dependent on your product’s formulation using GP BKS-2640 resin. This product should be stored and used in areas with good ventilation.
