- Features and Benefits
- Due to the high silicone content of TEGO® Antifoam MR 507 it outperforms conventional products in bio treated diesel fuels.
- TEGO® Antifoam MR 507 reduces substantially and reliably both, foam collapse time and initial foam height. It maintains its outstanding performance even in wet fuel and after a storage time of the treated fuel exceeding 4 weeks.
- Excellent water shedding properties could be achieved by using a sulfur-free demulsifier.
- Compared to conventional antifoams based on polyether siloxanes, TEGO® Antifoam MR 507 proved to be much more efficient resulting in strongly reduced treat rates.
- TEGO® Antifoam MR 507 may be incorporated into diesel additive packages requiring only small amounts or even no additional use of solvents, i. e. TEGO® Antifoam MR 507 supports the formulation of low-solvent additive packages. It shows excellent compatibility with a wide range of packages, regardless the solvent base, detergents, etc. TEGO® Antifoam MR 507 can be incorporated in most additive packages yielding clear and stable formulations even at temperatures as low as -20°C. If solvents have to be used conventional non-polar types (e.g. aromatic hydrocarbons) may be used.

- Applications
TEGO® Antifoam MR 507 is used as an antifoam for diesel additive packages or diesel fuels. Our product can especially be used for diesel fuels with high amounts and different sources of bio components.
- Dosage Information
Depending on the composition of the additive package and the fuel grade the dosage of TEGO® Antifoam MR 507 may vary over a wide range. Consequently, the optimum dosage has to be evaluated in suitable test series. For first trials we recommend a dosage of 8 to 12 ppm referred to the treated fuel. This dose rate should also be used in the case of solely adding the antifoam to the diesel fuel.
