Etna Tec Limited

Etna Tec Limited SCD 14786 is an oil-free saturated polyester resin supplied in EEP solvent. It is a high solids resin with additional carboxyl functionality designed to provide a combination of hardness, flexibility and adhesion. It is used to formulate low VOC coatings for metal deco, exterior container and aluminum extrusion coatings. It has also been used to formulate heat set inks used in the container industry.

Etna Tec Limited SCD 6150 offers the formulator good uncatalyzed cure response and high film hardness. Properly formulated it offers excellent corrosion resistance. SCD 6150 yields excellent film properties in solvent based high solid formulations and can improve the dry film properties of various resin systems as a modifier. It is often used as a non-fugitive adhesion promoter. This product utilizes the same base resin as in SCD 6120 except it is reduced in EEP to provide non-HAPS, low VOC formulations.

Etna Tec Limited TEC 3267-F is a fluorinated version of a coil coating resin. The resin is supplied in PM Acetate and is modified with fluorinated side chains, which are bonded directly onto the polymer backbone. The fluorinated resin is used in coil coating applications where self-cleaning of the final coating is important. It is also used as a co-reactant in polyisocyanate twocomponent polyurethane coatings. TEC 3267-F is used to formulate anti-graffiti coatings and smart coatings. Coatings formulated with TEC 3267-F exhibit excellent flexibility and formability, good UV light stability and weathering, as well as superior chemical and abrasion resistance. Coatings formulated with TEC 3267-F can be used on metal, concrete, wood, plastics and paper.

Etna Tec Limited TEC 3296-F is a saturated polyester resin modified with fluorine, which allows for long term anti-graffiti properties. The product is supplied in propylene glycol monomethyl ether acetate (PMA).

Etna Tec Limited SCD 1040 is designed specifically for low VOC finishes. Proper formulation achieves high pigment loading, VOC of less than 3.0 pounds/gallon and application with conventional spray equipment. SCD 1040 has good compatibility with alkyds and acrylics when used as a modifier to improve dry film properties.

Etna Tec Limited SCD 1066 is a saturated, oil-free polyester resin designed for use in coil coating applications. It exhibits excellent flexibility and flow characteristics, as well as, excellent elongation for drawing. SCD 1066 may also used as a non-fugitive flexibilizing modifier for alkyds, polyesters, and 2K urethanes.

Etna Tec Limited SCD 1041 is a solvent free saturated polyester resin. It is used to modify two component polyurethane coatings to improve acid resistance, adhesion, flow, leveling and VOC reduction. SCD 1041 is a versatile product that can also be used to formulate melamine crosslinking baking coatings.

Etna Tec Limited TEC 33100-F is a saturated polyester resin modified with fluorine, which allows for long term anti-graffiti properties. The product is supplied in propylene glycol monomethyl ether acetate (PMA).

Etna Tec Limited TEC 3497-F is a fluorinated polyester that is neutralized with DMEA and supplied as a dispersion in water. It offers increased flexibility, when compared to TEC 3330-F. It is used as a co-reactant with isocyanates in 2K coatings. It can also be used in melamine cross linked baking systems. Coatings formulated with this resin have good light stability and weatherablity coupled with good chemical and abrasion resistance.
