LIGHTER™ C93 PET COPOLYMER
Polymer Name:
Polyethylene Terephthalate (PET)
Processing Methods:
Stretch Blow Molding, Thermoforming, Injection Molding
LIGHTER™ C93 PET COPOLYMER resins are polyethylene terephthalate produced from PTA and MEG. These polymers are specifically designed for the production of beverage, food and other liquid containers and for thermoforming. LIGHTER C93 is suitable for the production of both mineral water and carbonated soft drinks bottles. LIGHTER C93 is recommended also for the production of extruded thermoformable sheets.
LIGHTER™ C88 PET COPOLYMER
Polymer Name:
Polyethylene Terephthalate (PET)
Processing Methods:
Injection Molding, Stretch Blow Molding
LIGHTER™ C88 PET COPOLYMER resins are polyethylene terephthalate produced from PTA and MEG. These polymers are specifically designed for the production of beverage, food and other liquid containers and for thermoforming. LIGHTER C88 is particularly suitable for bottling mineral water since it is designed specifically to minimize the formation of acetaldehyde. In general this grade is recommended for bottles for both still and carbonated mineral water. LIGHTER C88 is also suitable for the production of extruded thermoformable sheets.
LIGHTER™ S93 PET COPOLYMER
Polymer Name:
Polyethylene Terephthalate (PET)
Processing Methods:
Injection Molding, Stretch Blow Molding
LIGHTER™ S93 PET COPOLYMER is a polyester polymer modified to improve infrared reheating of preforms. LIGHTER S93 provides very good mechanical properties and a wide processing range on all injection molding machines. Moreover, preforms manufactured from LIGHTER S93 provide enhanced infrared heating rates, thus improving the operation of the stretch blow molding process, either increasing the maximum output or reducing the reheat energy. LIGHTER S93 is suitable for the production of bottles for both mineral water and carbonated soft drinks.
LIGHTER™ S98 PET COPOLYMER
Polymer Name:
Polyethylene Terephthalate (PET)
Processing Methods:
Injection Molding, Stretch Blow Molding
LIGHTER™ S98 PET COPOLYMER is a polyester modified to improve infrared reheating of preforms. LIGHTER S98 provides very good mechanical properties and a wide processing range on all injection molding machines. Moreover, preforms manufactured from LIGHTER S98 provide enhanced infrared heating rates, thus improving the operation of the stretch blow molding process, either increasing the maximum output or reducing the reheat energy. LIGHTER S98 is particularly suitable for the production of bottles for carbonated soft drinks.
LIGHTER™ VIRIDIS 25 PET COPOLYMER
Polymer Name:
Polyethylene Terephthalate (PET)
Processing Methods:
Injection Molding, Stretch Blow Molding
LIGHTER™ VIRIDIS 25 PET COPOLYMER is a polyester polymer modified to improve infrared reheating of preforms. LIGHTER™ VIRIDIS 25 is based on 25% recycled PET, deriving from a chemical depolymerization process.
