SYNTHOESTER 1110 is a branched, saturated polyester containing hydroxyl groups. Used in combination with aromatic polyisocyantes for air- and stove-drying two-component coatings. It is used with desmodur L as the crosslinking partner for anti-corrosive primers with excellent adhesion. It has applications in industrial coatings, wood flooring, furniture coatings, packaging, and paper applications.

SYNTHOESTER 1110 is used in combination with aromatic polyisocyantes air- and stove-drying two-component coatings.
Synthoester 1110 is used with Desmodur L as the crosslinking partner for anti-corrosive
primers with excellent adhesion.
In addition impact resistant and hard films are obtained in combination with Synthoester 1018
or 1080.

Compatibility

Synthoester 1110 is compatible with the poyiso-cyanates Desmodur N, L, HL, IL and VL. It is
also compatible with Synthoester 1018, 1065, 1080, 1120, 1130, 1065 and 1065 special.

Dilutability

Synthoester 110 can be diluted in any proportion with esters, ketones and glycol ether esters.
Aromatic compounds can be incorporated in small amounts. Care must be taken that only
anydrous solventrs and solvents that do not contain any hydroxyl groups are used.

Mixing ratio with poly-isocyanates

Assuming equivalent reaction of the reactive groups (NCO:OH = 1:1), the following formula
applies for the calculation of the amount of polyisocyanate to be added (relative to 100 parts by
weight of solid Synthoester 1110):
Amount of 42 X 100 x 6.5
polyisocyanate = ----------------
to be added: 17 x NCO %
42 = molecular weight of the NCO group
17 = molecular weight of the OH group
6.5 = hydroxyl content of Syntheoster 1110 in % relative to non-volatile components.
Best results are obtained with a mixing ratio of
100 parts by weight Synthoester 1110 with
140 parts by weight Desmodur L 67%

Pigmentation

All neutral pigments and fillers are suitable for pigmentation. Basic pigments and pigments
containing soluble metallic compounds may exert a catalytic effect on curing and shorten the
pot life of finished mixed batches.

Storage & Handling

Storage

SYNTHOESTER 1110 should be stored in closed containers, protected from moisture, the product has a shelf live at least 6 mounth.
