- Suggested Uses
HD-4675 was designed for topcoat applications on a wide variety of substrates, including concrete, metal, plastic and wood.
- Application Method & Curing
HD-4675 can be used as supplied or blended with acrylic emulsions for spray, dip or rotogravure applications. It can be thickened with associative thickeners for knife-over-roll or similar methods.
Curing
Due to the co-solvent free nature of HD-4675, the addition of coalescing solvent is recommended to achieve optimal film formation. In ambient-cured systems the addition of 5-10% coalescing solvent is suggested. Less coalescing solvent is required in heat-cured systems to attain comparable film properties. Typical drying temperatures and dwell times for aqueous coatings are sufficient to optimize film characteristics.
