AFCONA 4067

• AFCONA-4067 is a BTX-free version of a high molecular weight dispersing agent. This dispersant is very effective for inorganic pigments, organic pigments and carbon black dispersion preparation. Its very effective 3-dimensional steric hindrance offers good stability for all pigments. This is a very good dispersant for organic red, yellow and violet pigments.
• AFCONA – 4067 is designed for all solvent based systems, where it offers very good viscosity reduction, pigment stability and improvement of color strength.
• This product is a modification of an existing PU dispersant, which has excellent performance in viscosity reduction and compatibility.
• AFCONA – 4067 is recommended for all high quality industrial paints. However, for acid catalyst systems, it may exhibit some sensitivity towards the commonly used acid catalysts.
• The adaptation of AFCONA – 4067 to paint system polarities is excellent, therefore it is highly recommended for use in pigment concentrates used for low to high polar paint systems.
• In addition to all the advantages mentioned above, AFCONA – 4067 also does not contain any aromatic solvents like benzene, toluene, or (BTX Free).

Note: AFCONA – 4067 will become slightly hazy at temperatures below 5° C. This will not influence the performance of the product.

Addition and dosage: Add AFCONA-4067 according to the dosages listed below, which should be calculated based on the percent of active ingredient in the dispersant and the weight of pigment in the formula:

• TiO2 : 2 - 3%
• Other inorganic pigments : 2 - 4%
• Organic pigments : 20 - 40%
• Carbon blacks : 20 - 60%

Incorporation: AFCONA-4067 should be incorporated in the mill base before adding the pigments.

AFCONA-4067 should be stored in a cool, dry place. When kept in its original, unopened container, it will keep up to 5 years from the date of manufacture. The expiration date is indicated on the container.
