FIBRULINE ™, chicory root fiber or chicory inulin, is a soluble dietary fiber obtained from chicory roots through a gentle water extraction process. It is a natural food ingredient, available in liquid or powder form. The chicory root fiber FIBRULINE ™ represents carbohydrates stored in the chicory root, like the sugar stored in the beet or potato starch. But, what is inulin? Inulin belongs to the fructan family. It is an indigestible oligosaccharide made from two to 60 units of fructose joined by β2-1 bonds, most terminated by one unit of glucose. It is the ß2-1 bonds that prevent its absorption by the small intestine, making it a fiber. Oligofructose or fructooligosaccharide (FOS) is a selection of short chains of inulin, or chicory root fiber .

Fibruline

Strongest sugar substitute and fiber enrichment when solubility is critical. Particularly recommended for a strong reduction in sugar. Ideal when the required solubility is higher, especially in low humidity processes such as confectionery, baking or fruit preparations.

SWELITE ™ is a performing solution for most of savory applications, and also for dairy specialities and fillings for bakery products. In most cases the vegetables fibers provide an additional intake of quality nutrients, and also sensory properties sought by consumers such as texture, the mouthfeel, or yet again, management of moisture in the product. SWELITE™ pea fiber has a special capacity to bind water which brings significant sensory qualities improvement.

NASTAR ™ is a native starch extracted from yellow peas. Compared to other native starches, yellow peas have the highest amylose content. A local culture, no need for irrigation, a limited use of pesticides, a non-GMO raw material… this is enough to raise the pea on the top step of the podium! Derived from this environmentally friendly raw material, NASTAR ™ pea starch derives all its functional benefits from its physical extraction process.
