Hi-Nicalon™ SiC Fiber is a multi-filament silicon carbide-type fiber manufactured by NGS Advanced Fibers Co., Ltd. (NGS) of Japan. NGS is known worldwide as the leading manufacturer and innovator of multifilament silicon carbide-type fibers. HINICALON™ is manufactured near-oxygen-free using electron-beam curing. The fiber is homogeneously composed of ultra-fine beta-SiC crystallites and carbon. The fiber has excellent strength and modulus properties, and has higher thermal stability than NICALON™.

Hi-Nicalon™ Type S SiC Fiber is a multifilament silicon carbide-type fiber manufactured by NGS Advanced Fibers Co., Ltd. (NGS) of Japan. NGS is known worldwide as the leading manufacturer and innovator of multi-filament silicon carbide-type fibers. HI-NICALON™ TYPE S is a stoichiometric beta-SiCfiber manufactured near-oxygen-free using decarbonization pyrolysis and electron-beam curing. It has higher modulus, creep resistance and oxidationresistance than Hi-NICALON™.HI-NICALON™ TYPE S is highly resistant to oxidation and chemical attack and is available in a variety of product forms, depending on the intended use.

Nicalon™ SiC Fiber is a multi-filament silicon carbide-type fiber manufactured by NGS Advanced Fibers Co., Ltd. of Japan. The fiber is homogeneously composed of ultra-fine beta-SiC crystallites and an amorphous mixture of silicon, carbon, and oxygen. The fiber has excellent strength and modulus properties for ceramic fibers, and retains its properties at high temperatures. NICALON™ is highly resistant to oxidation and chemical attack.

Sylramic™ SiC Fiber, Woven can be readily incorporated into a variety of weaves, woven tapes, braids, etc. A network of U.S. contractors exists to respond to your exact needs. Contact COI Ceramics to discuss specifics and receive further information.

Sylramic™ SiCFiber, Tow is supplied on 3 inch diameter cardboard spools. Lengths up to 800 meters (145 grams) are available. Tow length may vary depending upon availability and customer requirements.
