• Softness, both surface smoothness and flexibility is improved in high quality tissue papers. This lotion is especially effective on calendered tissue sheets that have already a high softness level.
• The product has a low viscosity and can be sprayed.

• There is no water in the product, no drying is required and tensile degradation is minimized.

High quality lotionized tissue can be difficult to plybond with normally used plybonding wheels. For this situation solutions can be found: not applying lotion in the plybonding areas, using more aggressive plybonding wheels and higher pressures, lamination or plybonding before applying the lotion etc. Normally there is no issue when the lotion is applied after lamination or plybonding.
Patch testing has been done with tissue treated with the CP Soft 90 lotion giving the tissue producer the right to make a claim that the product has been dermatologically tested. The results of patch testing also depend on the tissue paper properties and other ingredients contents, as well as the lotion application system. 

CP Soft 90 is a special lotion for tissue paper. The product is applied without dilution on a tissue paper web in a tissue converting operation. It is of sufficiently low viscosity to be sprayed or it can be applied through a coating or printing process such as a flexographic or a rotogravure process.
CP Soft 90 does not contain water and therefore less tensile degradation will occur in the tissue paper after application. It is designed to impart substantial handfeel improvements to facial tissue in particular at low rates of application. This product improves surface smoothness as well as the flexibility of the web.
Application rates in the order of 2% by weight are typical. CP Soft 90 contains Aloe and vitamin E, two of the most recognized cosmetic ingredients.
The product imparts no or little odor change to the tissue. On request CP Soft 90 can be formulated with other ingredients, such as essential oils or fragrances, as required. Antibacterial and antiviral compounds can also be included. Special lotions can be developed for the customer based on the properties that are required.
