Castorlatum Castor Oil is a versatile ointment base and valuable addition to emulsions. Its uses are numerous in the realm of anhydrous formulations and can be as varied as lip treatments, color cosmetics, hair pomades, moisturizers, and as an excipient for the delivery of oil-soluble cosmeceutical or drug actives.

ZeMac™ E400 Copolymer is an alternating copolymer of ethylene and maleic anhydride with very high molecular weight; Mw of 300,000. The product is 100% water soluble and can be reacted with alkalis, alcohols and amines to form corresponding salts, esters and amides.

PVPs are physiologically inert molecules that can act as dye-receptive resins, film formers, adhesives, complexing agents, binders and stabilizers, and protective colloid and suspending agents. Jarpol™ PVPs increase the wetting and lubricating effect in vanishing creams, sun proof creams, and depilation agents and provide excellent dispersivity. They are soluble in most organic solvents and are compatible with many modifiers and plasticizers.

Casmate™ DCA is a dry porosity ester. It provides more of a matte appearance without tacky build-up and has excellent co-solvent properties. It is a general-purpose emollient where prolonged playtime is desired.

Naturechem™ is a solid emollient and an attractive alternative to Glyceryl Stearate (GMS). It is incorporated into the oil phase of oil-in-water emulsions where it functions as a secondary emulsifier and thickener. Owing to its occlusivity, it reduces transepidermal water loss and in addition, hydrates the skin through humectancy via hydrogen bonding between water and the material’s hydroxyl groups.

Casid HSA is an efficient, thixotropic viscosity builder that will gel hydrocarbons, many esters, and certain silicones. Can be used by formulators as a primary oil-in-water emulsifier.

Surfactol™ surfactant is a water-dispersible emollient. Based on castor oil, this product may be considered a self-emulsifying emollient in aqueous systems. It functions well as a component in blooming bath oils.
