Atul established successful joint venture companies with world-renowned multi-national companies namely American Cyanamid Company (now a part of BASF AG and Pfizer Inc) in 1947, Imperial Chemical Industries plc (now a part of Akzo Nobel and Astra Zeneca plc) in 1955 and Ciba-Geigy Ltd (now a part of BASF AG and Huntsman Corporation) in 1960.

Atul was founded on September 05, 1947 – a month after Indian independence – by Kasturbhai Lalbhai, an institution builder par excellence and a legendary Indian of his times. The Company was a manifestation of his dream to generate large-scale employment, create wealth in rural India and make the country self-sufficient in its requirements of chemicals."

LAPOX

LAPOX® AH-348 is a liquid, colorless aliphatic polyamine suitable to cure epoxy resins at room temperature. Epoxy resin cured with this hardener is capable to provide good resistance to aliphatic and aromatic hydrocarbon solvents and mild alkali solutions.

LAPOX® AH-348

LAPOX® AH-424 is low color, low viscosity modified cycloaliphatic amine suitable to cure epoxy resin at ambient temperature. The faster reactivity of Lapox AH-424 permits rapid development of properties at ambient temperature. After cure, it exhibits high gloss with excellent surface finish suitable for coating and flooring application. The cured film has chemical resistance to acid, alkali, alcohols and hydrocarbon solvents. Very low viscosity permits high filler loading and excellent wetting properties. It is advisable to use this hardener during warm climate to avoid amine blush on cured surfaces.

LAPOX® AH-424

LAPOX® AH-420 is a low color, low viscosity modified cycloaliphatic amine adduct. It suitable to cure epoxy resin at ambient temperature. It provides relatively faster reactivity and short pot life when cured with unmodified epoxy resins. It is mainly recommended for solvent-free and high solids coatings, gel coats and floor toppings. Good color and color stability are the promising features of this curing agent, which produces films with non-blushing and excellent gloss.

LAPOX® AH-420

LAPOX® AH-711 is a high viscosity polyaminoamide hardener based on dimer fatty acid and aliphatic polyamine. It is designed to use with liquid or epoxy resin solutions (type-1) to produce protective and decorative solvent based coatings with an excellent flexibility and adhesion to most substrates.

LAPOX® AH-712 is medium viscosity polyamidoamide based on dimer fatty acid and aliphatic polyamine. It is designed to use with liquid or epoxy resin solutions (type-1) to produce protective and decorative solvent based coatings with an excellent flexibility, adhesion to most substrates and best corrosion protection.

LAPOX® AH-712

LAPOX® AC-14 is a chemically 2,4,6-tris(dimethyl aminomethyl) phenol. It is tertiary amine accelerator recommended to use along with other curing agents like polyamidoamides, amine adducts, mercaptans and anhydrides to increase cure speed. It improves cure of thin film and facilitate complete cure. The amount of Lapox AC-14 to be added into hardener depends on the speed of cure required.

LAPOX® AC-14

LAPOX® AH-351 is modified aliphatic amine adduct having high functionality, capable to cure epoxy resin at ambient temperature. It provides faster reactivity and short pot life when reacted with epoxy resins. When cured with stoichiometric ratio with modified epoxy phenol novolac, it provides high thermal and mechanical properties coupled with high chemical resistance. It is suitable to formulate solvent free and high solid coatings for high chemical resistance coatings and floorings.

LAPOX® AH-351

LAPOX® AH-315 is a long chain polyether amine having slow reactivity towards epoxy resin at ambient temperature. It is a clear colorless liquid with amine-like odor. It is miscible with water and soluble in many organic solvents. It provides long pot life and very low exotherm when cured with epoxy resins. Appropriately cured mass shows relatively high elongation, toughness, excellent resistance to impact and thermal shock resistance.

LAPOX® AH-315

LAPOX® AH-428 is a low color, low viscosity modified cycloaliphatic amine suitable to cure epoxy resin at ambient temperature. The cured mass gives high gloss with an excellent surface finish suitable for protective and decorative coatings. The film withstand variety of chemicals includes acid, alkali, alcohols and hydrocarbon solvents. Excellent low color of the hardener makes suitable for self-leveling floor and decorative top coats.
