Vipel® corrosion-resistant resins offer proven, durable performance for a world of end-uses such as pipe, tanks, water and wastewater treatment, chemical processing, pulp and paper, mining and power generation. From isophthalics and terephthalics to high performance vinyl esters, choose the Vipel resin that most cost-effectively targets specifications for chemical and temperature resistance, mechanical properties, flame retardance, low smoke and code approvals for potable water, food contact and other standards.

AOC's Vipel F013 series is a bisphenol A epoxy-based vinyl ester resin dissolved in styrene. The Vipel F013 series is ideally suited for use in hand lay-up, spray-up, filament winding and pultrusion processes where outstanding mechanical properties and excellent resistance to chemicals and heat are required.BENEFITSVersatileWide formulating capabilities allow for use in many processes and for optimization of cost/performance.Unique composition produces a tough and versatile resin with excellent crack and craze resistance in molded parts.Vipel F013 is suitable for moldings that are subjected to particularly high static or dynamic loads, such as pipe, tanks, duct work and flooring applications. Vinyl ester resins have excellent resistance to sustained heat.Corrosion ResistantVipel F013 highly resistant to hydrogen peroxide, and alkalis, and performs well in various stages of hypochlorite and chlorine production. AOC's Vipel K022 series is a brominated bisphenol A epoxy vinyl ester resin dissolved in styrene. Vipel K022 series is ideally suited for use in hand lay-up, spray-up, filament winding and pultrusion processes where outstanding mechanical properties and excellent resistance to chemicals and heat are required. Vipel K022-CN series contains antimony products.BENEFITSFire RetardantSome Vipel K022 versions do not require antimony trioxide to meet ASTM E 84 Class I flame spread requirements.Mechanical PropertiesVipel K022 is suitable for moldings that are subjected to particularly high static or dynamic loads. F010-H2O-00 Coating System for Potable WaterPOTABLE WATERNSF/ANSI 61 CertifiedVipel F010-H2O-00 is certified to NSF/ANSI 61 for use in commercial and domestic potable water systems as a protective barrier material. If fabricators follow the ingredients and process instructions listed on page 3, they do not need to perform additional testing to manufacture a NSF/ANSI 61 compliant coating.BENEFITSSuitable for Sodium Hypochlorite ContainmentThe formulation of Vipel F010-H2O-00 is also appropriate and suitable for sodium hypochlorite (chlorine bleach) containment. Sodium hypochlorite is a widely accepted water purification chemical that is very aggressive to most metals and many polymeric materials. The use of coatings that are not formulated for sodium hypochlorite containment will reduced the service life of the equipment.

AOC's Vipel F737 Series is a resilient isophthalic polyester resin with excellent mechanical properties. Vipel F737 resins are used extensively in grating and in the construction of large diameter water pipes for transporting water to and from power stations. The Vipel K095-AAA-00 is a fire retardant epoxy novolac vinyl ester resin dissolved in styrene. Vipel K095-AAA-00 is ideally suited for use in hand lay-up, spray-up, and filament winding processes where outstanding mechanical properties and resistance to solvents, oxidizing environments, chemicals and good thermal mechanical properties is required.BENEFITSCorrosionThe epoxy novolac-based backbone chemistry provides resistance to organic solvents and good resistance to acids and alkalies.
