3B Fiberglass 399 Direct Rovings consist of continuous filaments bonded into a single strand and wound onto a bobbin shape. 3B Fiberglass MF 01 ER are E-CR glass filaments ground to a specified density. MF 01 ER is designed to reinforce products like thermoplastics, thermoset resins, glues, coatings, and adhesives within a large range of applications and markets.MF 01 ER represents a main improvement compared to minerals when aiming for a higher stiffness and/or better impact properties in combination with specific properties, such as flow enhancement, flame retardancy, uniform isotropic shrinkage, resistance to acid environment, coating stability, etc. MF 01 ER can be collocated in between mineral fillers and most com-monly available milled fibers as it dis-plays an intermediate length/diameter aspect ratio. The product comes in a powdery form that provides both improved flowability/handling and low density.

3B Fiberglass SE 3030 consist of conti-nuous filaments bonded into a single strand and wound onto a bobbin shape. A proprietary sizing applied on the fibers assures an excellent resin-to-glass bonding. SE 3030 Direct Rovings made of Advantex® glass are specifically desi-gned for multipurpose applications/processes such as the production of Non Crimped Fabrics, prepreg, filament winding, pultrusion, etc. The sizing of SE 3030 Direct Rovings is compatible with multiple resins: i.e. polyester, vinylester and epoxies. SE 3030 Direct Rovings present high level of fatigue performances, supe-rior interfibre and interlaminar shear strengths.

3B Fiberglass DS 2200-13P is a 13 μm filament dia-meter, 4 mm long chopped glass fiber designed for production of Polyolefin compounds.DS 2200-13P shows outstanding compatibility with Polypropylene. This is the material of choice for very high glass content (up to 50 %wt) compound grades that require good fiber dispersion as well as mechanical properties. DS 2200-13P is also desig-ned for parts weathering in prolonged contact with water, detergents and glycol. DS 2200-13P can also be used in applications complying with strin-gent requirements of food contact and drinkable water standards EC 10/2011, FDA, BfR and ACS. DS 2200-13P is supplied on a pel-letized form and offers outstanding feeding-to-extruder behavior as well as excellent fiber impregnation.DS 2200-13P’s sizing chemistry also requires reduced amount of coupling agents so that parts reach optimum mechanical performances.

3B Fiberglass DS 5163-13P chopped strand is spe-cifically designed for excellent per-formances in injection and transfer molding processes & applications.The sizing coated at the glass fiber surface is engineered for enhanced compatibility with phenolic and epoxy resin systems.Thanks to its very light color, this product can be used in any natural grade compounds without impacting the color of the final part.An innovative manufacturing techno-logy provides DS5163-13P chopped strand with an excellent strand inte-grity and bulk density. As a result this product exhibits excellent feeding properties with very low fuzz generation.

3B Fiberglass SE 4220 are corresponds to 3B’s portfolio of direct roving glassfi bre designed to rein-force polyolefi ns. Made out of E-CR glass, these direct roving fi bres consist of conti-nuous fi laments bonded together into a single strand and wound into a cylindrical shaped bobbin. SE 4220 (17μm) corresponds to an E-CR glass made direct roving whose strand consists of gathered 17μm diameter glass fi laments for reinforcing polyolefi ns. This 17μm fi lament diameter product offers the best compromise between mechanical performances and aptitude for knitting/weaving in the case of Continuous Fiber Thermoplastics manu-facturing. This is also the most common fi lament diameter in use for the production of LFT pellets or D-LFT parts. SE 4220 (17μm) is compatible with both polyethylene (PE) and polypropylene (PP).SE 4220 (17μm) direct roving is internal/inside pull and is available in 1200 tex and 2400 tex linear densities.

3B Fiberglass EM 1011 is a non-woven mat made from 3B E-CR glass filaments, consisting of chopped fibers randomly and yet evenly orien-tated. The 50 mm length chopped fibers are coated with silane coupling agent and are held together using emulsion binder. CSM is particularly suitable for hand lay-up process using thermoset resin systems to manufacture wide range of products for automobile, recreation, chemical, electrical industries.CSM EM1011 conforms to BS 14118 and IS 11551.

3B Fiberglass W 2020 are spe-cifically designed to provide signifi-cantly higher modulus, strength and enhanced fatigue performances ver-sus traditional E-glass for wind turbine blades made out of epoxy resin. HiPer-texTM W 2020 Rovings are per-fectly suited for the production of high modulus Non Crimped Glass Fabrics and prepregs. The sizing W 2020 is purposely formulated for excellent adhesion with epoxy resin systems and leads to superior interfibre and interlaminar shear strengths as well as dynamic performances. The specific boron free glass formula-tion provides superior hydrolysis and corrosion resistance. These properties improvements versus typical E-glass will help blade desi-gners to push further the limits of glass fiber blade designs, especially for the long blades required for the multi MW turbines for on shore and off shore. The W 2020 roving is approved by Germanischer Lloyd for the use in wind turbine rotor blades.

3B Fiberglass CM6060 is a non-wo-ven mat made out of ECR glass _x005F_x001f_laments, consisting of continuous _x005F_x001f_bres randomly oriented in multiple layers. The glass _x005F_x001f_bre is bonded with a silane coupling agent and the layers held together with a suitable binder. The CM 6060 & CM 6065 family products contain an insoluble binder compatible with a large range of thermoset matrices like both un_x005F_x001f_lled or _x005F_x001f_lled unsaturated polyester (UP), vinyl ester (VE), epoxy (EP) Both CM 60606 and CM 6065 mats are characterized by their white color and are ideally suited for pultrusion pro-cesses for wide, long and heavy parts but as well for narrow and complex pro_x005F_x001f_les. The excellent mechanical properties provided by 3B CFM combined with the good electrical properties of the resins make the pultruded parts attractive for the electrical apparatus (high voltage), transportation industries and infrastruc-tures equipments.
