Varnacol Beetroot Red is a water-soluble color with limited stability to heat, light and oxidation. Most stable between pH 3.5-5.0. Most suited to frozen, dry or short shelf-life products not subjected to prolonged heating.

D.D. Williamson Black Carrot is a red, water-soluble anthocyanin color extracted from black/purple carrots grown in southern Europe and Asia.

Tanya Exports Curcumin Color is the principal pigment of turmeric, a spice that is obtained from the rhizomes of Curcuma longa. Obtained by extraction from the plant to produce an oleoresin which is then purified, curcumin provides a bright, strong yellow shade in solution.

ColorMaker Turmeric is used in product systems that are packaged to protect them from sunlight. The oleoresin is used for oil-containing products. The curcumin/polysorbate solution or curcumin powder dissolved in alcohol is used for water containing products. Over-coloring, such as in pickles, relishes and mustard, is sometimes used to compensate for fading. Beta-carotene is probably the best known of the largest family of pigments produced by nature, the Carotenoids. Although abundant and extractable from various sources, the beta-carotene utilized by the color industry is made synthetically.
