FILTRASORB® 816 is a granular activated carbon developed by Calgon Carbon Corporation for the removal of dissolved organic compounds from water and wastewater as well as industrial and food processing streams. These contaminants include taste and odor compounds, organic color, total organic carbon (TOC), and industrial organic compounds such as TCE and PCE.

TIGG 5DW 1435 is a granular activated carbon made from wood. The range of pore sizes can accommodate organic molecules of varied size, especially larger ones such as color molecules.

TIGG 5DCAW 1240 is a virgin acid washed coconut-based activated carbon in granular form. Made from select grades of coconut shell and then acid washed, it is specially designed to remove low concentrations of weakly adsorbed organics from water. This activated carbon combines higher than usual microporosity with sufficient transport pores to permit superior loadings of highly soluble organics. Its superior level of hardness and low level of impurities make it cleaner than most other activated carbons and gives it a longer service life.

TIGG 5DC 1230 NSF is a coconut-based activated carbon specially designed to remove low concentrations of contaminants from potable water. This activated carbon combines high microporosity and high surface area to permit effective removal of THM’s and their precursors, chlorinated hydrocarbons and other contaminants and in many cases outperforms coal based carbons.

The product is unique in that it concentrates reactants via adsorption and then promotes their reaction on the surface of the pores. CENTAUR NDS 12x40 is produced from bituminous coal using a patented process. Although it is not impregnated with metals or alkali, it displays the catalytic functionality of these materials. In most cases CENTAUR NDS 12x40 can be reactivated and does not present the disposal concerns associated with impregnated carbons.

The higher adsorption energy pores of this activated carbon permit the attainment of 100% removal of most organics from water and other liquids. This material meets AWWA B-600-96 and is NSF approved.

CENTAUR® C 12x40 is a coconut based alternative to our premium CENTAUR 12x40 product. This liquid phase virgin activated carbon product is not impregnated with metals or alkali yet displays the catalytic functionality of these materials.
