Now after 40 years, TIGG has experience in developing a broad range of activated carbon filters, activated carbon adsorption equipment, systems, and services for environmental remediation and the removal of trace contaminants from the air, water, and process liquids, and gasses. In addition to activated carbon equipment, TIGG designs and manufactures integrated liquid and vapor treatment systems and provides a variety of services including equipment rental programs and media change-outs.

TIGG MRM is a unique carbonaceous adsorbent manufactured in high temperature kilns, similar to activated carbons. This product is used in liquid phase applications. The product is made up of carbon and hydroxyapatite resulting in a distinctive surface which adsorbs organic molecules and sorbs many inorganic ions through several potential mechanisms. Metals removal with this product results in a waste where the metals remain bound and will pass leaching tests. This product is superior for applications where high hardness would render cation exchange resins economically unattractive.

TIGG (Newterra) MRM

TIGG 5D 1240 is a granular activated carbon made from selected grades of bituminous coal. The range of pore sizes can accommodate organic molecules of varied size. The higher adsorption energy pores of this activated carbon permit the attainment of 100% removal of most organics from water and other liquids. This material meets AWWA B-600-96 and is NSF approved.

TIGG 5DR 0830 granular activated carbon made from selected grades of bituminous coal, which has been thermally reactivated. Depending upon the application, this activated carbon can provide performance similar to virgin activated carbon at a reduced cost.

TIGG 5DAW 1240 is a granular activated carbon made from selected grades of bituminous coal which has been acid washed. This activated carbon is used for the decolorization and purification of acidic organic and aqueous liquids which may be sensitive to iron which could be solubilized from standard activated carbon.

TIGG CAT is a light colored, high capacity, get type sulfonated polystyrene cation resin supplied in the sodium form as moist, touch uniform spherical beads. TIGG CAT is intended for use in water softening applications.

TIGG 5DC O830 NSF is a coconut-based activated carbon specially designed to remove low concentrations of weakly adsorbed organics from water. This activated carbon combines higher than usual microporosity with sufficient transport pores to permit superior loadings of highly soluble organics.

TIGG 5DC 1230 NSF is a coconut-based activated carbon specially designed to remove low concentrations of contaminants from potable water. This activated carbon combines high microporosity and high surface area to permit effective removal of THM’s and their precursors, chlorinated hydrocarbons and other contaminants and in many cases outperforms coal based carbons.

TIGG ANI is a high capacity anion resin usually supplied in a chloride form and is used in all types of deionization systems and chemical processing applications. TIGG ANI has capacity subject to influent water chemistry and may be used on a oncethrough basis to polish metals. Knowledge of operating conditions such as pH, dissolved solids, alkalinity, hardness, etc. is beneficial.

TIGG 5DCAW 1240 is a virgin acid washed coconut-based activated carbon in granular form. Made from select grades of coconut shell and then acid washed, it is specially designed to remove low concentrations of weakly adsorbed organics from water. This activated carbon combines higher than usual microporosity with sufficient transport pores to permit superior loadings of highly soluble organics. Its superior level of hardness and low level of impurities make it cleaner than most other activated carbons and gives it a longer service life.
