It is an excellent auxiliary material for the pharmaceutical industry as well as a favourite raw material for the chemical industry including the paint and printing industries. Large quantities of solvents, thinners and disinfectants are produced from it.

ADM Ethanol Denatured 99.9% (EP/USP-NF) (denatured alcohol) is anhydrous ethanol obtained from corn in compliance with European Pharmacopoeia. It is denatured with 1 liter of methyl ethyl ketone, 1 liter of isopropyl alcohol and 1 gram of denatonium benzoate per hectolitre of absolute alcohol. The ethanol is denatured with 78 grams of Ter Butyl alcohol and 0.8 grams of denatonium benzoate per hectoliter of absolute alcohol. This product has various applications, including as a carrier solvent, for descaling, emulsification, hydrocolloids, and rheology modification.

ADM Ethanol Pure 190 Proof USP is a plant-based ethyl alcohol with 95% ethanol by volume. Clinton 277 Acid Modified Industrial Corn Starch #028277 is a low-viscosity, acid-modified starch that is employed by the paper and textile industries for size applications, particularly at high temperatures. A benefit of this product is that the hot paste is less viscous than that of an unmodified starch, and at elevated temperatures, the pastes are slightly clearer. For most applications, it is desirable to hold this paste at high temperatures to prevent excessive setback.
