HALOX® BW-191 is a white, non-refractive, corrosion-inhibiting pigment used in protective coating systems. It is recommended for use in most waterborne systems, such as latexes and water reducibles, and due to its lower oil absorption, it can also be effective in anticorrosive high-solids coatings. On the other hand, HALOX® BW-111 is recommended for use in solventborne epoxy systems, both conventional and high-solids.

HALOX® CW-22/221 is a white, non-refractive, corrosion-inhibiting pigment used in protective coating systems. It is not recommended for use in immersion or semi-immersion environments. HALOX® CW-22/221 is recommended for use in primer systems based on traditional solvent alkyd technology. It can effectively be formulated into such resins as medium- and long-oil alkyds. HALOX® CW-22/221 is compliant with ASTM D7089, which specifies the requirements for calcium borosilicate pigments for use in paints.

HALOX® CW-491 is a white, non-refractive, heavy metal-free pigment used as a corrosion inhibitor in protective coating systems. It is versatile and can be used with a variety of solvent and waterborne resin systems. The recommended loading levels for HALOX® CW-491 vary depending on the type of system used. For waterborne systems, the recommended loading levels range from 5–8% based on the total formula weight, while for solventborne systems, the recommended loading levels range from 7–12% based on the total formula weight.

HALOX® Z-PLEX 111 is a corrosion-inhibiting pigment used in protective coating systems that is highly versatile and more cost-effective than commercial zinc phosphate. HALOX® Z-PLEX 111 can provide a higher level of corrosion protection than commercial zinc phosphate when used as an equal-weight replacement.

HALOX® CW-291 is a white, non-refractive, corrosion-inhibiting pigment used in protective coating systems. It is not recommended for use in immersion or semi-immersion environments. HALOX® CW-291 has the lowest oil absorption of all our borosilicate products and is recommended for use in protective coating systems based on alkyd technology. Because of its low oil absorption, HALOX® CW-291 is specifically suggested for use in high-solids, medium-gloss topcoats, DTM (direct-to-metal) finishes, and self-priming systems. HALOX® CW-291 is compliant with ASTM D 4288-83, specification for calcium borosilicate pigment type 1, class B.

HALOX® CW-2230 is a white, non-refractive, corrosion-inhibiting pigment used in protective coating systems. It is not recommended for use in immersion or semi-immersion environments. HALOX® CW-2230 has the highest borate content and can be effectively formulated into resins such as medium and long-oil alkyds, epoxy-esters, and modified alkyd systems. HALOX® CW-2230 is compliant with ASTM D 4288-83, specification for calcium borosilicate pigment type 2.

HALOX® Z-PLEX® 250 is a white, non-refractive, corrosion-inhibiting pigment used in various protective coatings. It is classified as Zn3(PO4)2.2H2O (dihydrate) and is compliant with ASTM D6280, Specification for Zinc Phosphate Pigment Type I. The recommended loading levels for HALOX® Z-PLEX® 250 range from 5–10% based on the total formula weight.

HALOX® CZ-170 is a versatile pigment used in protective coating systems to inhibit corrosion and tannin staining. It is a great replacement for zinc oxide and can be used in high-gloss and thin-film applications due to its finer particle size and narrow distribution. With a gloss of over 75 units at 60° and a film thickness of less than 1.0 mils, or 25 microns, HALOX® CZ-170 is a great option for a variety of coating needs. It can be used to protect both metal and wood substrates, making it a universal option for coating systems.

It is specifically recommended for use in solvent-borne epoxy systems, including both conventional and high-solids coatings. The recommended loading levels for HALOX® BW-111 range from 5–10% based on the total formula weight for conventional systems and from 10–20% based on the total formula weight for higher solids systems.

HALOX® Zinc Phosphate is a white, non-refractive, corrosion-inhibiting pigment that is widely used in protective coating systems. It is also known as zinc phosphate-dihydrate and is characterized by a narrow particle size distribution, with an upper particle size limit of 10 microns and a mean particle size of 5 microns. This pigment is highly versatile and serves as a standard corrosion inhibitor for most high-performance resin systems, including vinyl, chlorinated rubbers, and epoxies. It is especially recommended for high acid-value resins, catalyzed baking systems, and vinylidene chloride latexes. In addition, HALOX® Zinc Phosphate is an ideal choice for thin film applications (less than 1 mil or 25 microns). It meets the ASTM D 6280-98 specification for zinc phosphate pigment type I and is widely used in the industry.

AFCONA 5290 is a 100% solid dispersant created for high-solid systems and formulations that are facing VOC limitations. It is suitable for all solvent-based systems ranging from low to high polarity, including air-dry alkyd. It has very good pigment stability and performance. It gives good viscosity reduction and high color strength. AFCONA 5290 is provided with almost 100% active ingredient; therefore, it is an excellent dispersant for high-solid coatings like polyurethane, epoxy and UV coatings.

AFCONA 5244 is the nearly 100% active solid version of AFCONA 5044, designed for high-solid systems where the presence of solvents must be limited. When used at the same level of active solids, the properties of AFCONA 5244 and AFCONA 5044 are almost identical.

AFCONA 2023 is a moderate defoamer with minimal side effects. It prevents the formation of foam and blisters during the manufacturing and application of solvent-based coatings. The product has a moderate defoaming property and does not show many of the obvious side effects seen when using some stronger defoamers.

AFCONA 5281 is an effective dispersing agent for organic and carbon black pigments. It stabilizes the pigments through steric hindrance and its high solids content makes it suitable for low VOC coatings applications. AFCONA 5281 can be used as the sole dispersant in pigment concentrates or be combined with other high molecular weight dispersants, such as AFCONA 4071 or AFCONA 4701, in order to optimize compatibility and cost-effectiveness. Furthermore, AFCONA 5281 can also be used as a post-addition in systems to achieve improved pigment stability.

AFCONA 5209 is an anionic/cationic wetting and dispersing additive used to improve the wetting of pigment surfaces. AFCONA 5209 is the 100% version of AFCONA 5009. It reduces the interfacial tension between pigments or extenders and the vehicle. It stabilizes the pigments through electrical charge repulsion forces.

AFCONA 6745 is a synergist additive that is specifically designed for use with phthalocyanine pigments, carbon blacks, and organic violets. It should not be used on its own, but rather in combination with one of the AFCONA 4000-series high molecular weight dispersants.

AFCONA 4009 is a polymeric dispersant that is primarily used for stabilizing inorganic and select organic pigments. It is compatible with a wide range of coating chemistries, including long, medium and short oil alkyds, NC, polyurethanes, certain thermoplastic acrylics, epoxy and all resins for heat-cured paint. It is a modified polyurethane polymer that helps to deflocculate pigments.

AFCONA 4010 is a polymeric dispersant used mainly for inorganic pigments and certain organic pigments. It is principally developed for stabilizing inorganic pigments such as TiO2, iron oxides, and matting agents. It can be used in almost all solvent-based coating systems, because AFCONA 4010 has very good compatibility with almost all resins used in coatings.

AFCONA 6220 is a fatty acid modified emulsifier for universal colorants and improved color acceptance. It is able to stabilize inorganic and organic pigments in water and solvent systems. In addition, it improves the compatibility of the polar ingredients of universal colorants when used in non-polar solvent-based paints.

AFCONA 5008 is an anionic/cationic wetting and dispersing additive that improves the wetting of pigment surfaces and organically treated bentonites. It reduces the interfacial tension between pigments or extenders and the vehicle, and also stabilizes the pigments through charge repulsion forces.

AFCONA 3233 is a slip and leveling additive for solvent- and water-based systems. It is recommended as a slip and leveling agent for all solvent-based coatings to prevent Bénard Cells, provide leveling, and prevent craters. AFCONA 3233 can be used as leveling and anti-crater agent in both water- and solvent- based applications. However, this product may stabilize foam in water-based coatings.

AFCONA 2022 is a strong defoamer that is easy to incorporate. This is a silicone-containing version of AFCONA 2020. This product prevents the formation of foam and blisters during the manufacturing and application of solvent-based and solvent-free coatings. AFCONA 2022 is a particularly compatible defoamer that works during production and application, especially in curtain coating processes.

AFCONA 6225 is a dispersant and emulsifier for universal colorants, color acceptance additive. AFCONA 6225 is an updated version of AFCONA 6220. It offers better dispersing performance as well as better color acceptance in decorative paints. emulsify water into solvent-based coatings. This is especially helpful in long oil alkyds, where it can improve the color acceptance of universal commercial colorants.

AFCONA 2040 is a moderate defoamer with minimal side effects that prevents the formation of foam and blisters during manufacturing and application. It offers a combination of good defoaming and compatibility with most resin systems. It is recommended for medium-viscosity applications applied by spray and brush, and is particularly suitable for systems ranging from low polarity to high polarity. AFCONA 2035 is recommended for brush and conventional spray applications.

AFCONA 5207 is a very economical dispersant with good pigment stabilizing performance. It functions as a wetting and dispersing additive for solvent-based architectural and decorative paints, also a very suitable dispersant for printing ink. It will stabilize most of the pigments that are commonly used in these systems.

It is an economy grade of additive and stabilizes the pigments through electrical charge repulsion forces.

AFCONA 5044 is an anionic/cationic wetting and dispersing additive to improve the wetting of pigment surfaces and organically treated bentonites. AFCONA 5044 is an additive for pigment dispersion. It reduces the interfacial tension between the vehicle and pigments or extenders. It stabilizes the pigments through electrical charge repulsion forces.

AFCONA 5054 is a wetting and dispersing additive to prevent sedimentation and flooding of pigments. It helps to reduce interfacial tension between hydrophilic pigments/extenders and the binder, forming a lattice structure with the pigments at the same time. It stabilizes pigment through electrical charge repulsion forces.

AFCONA 3030 is a slip and leveling additive for both solvent and water-based systems. It is a polyether-modified polysiloxane and is recommended as a slip and leveling agent to prevent Bénard Cells and provide leveling and prevent craters. It can be used in both water- and solvent-based applications, though it may stabilize foam in water-based coatings.
