Colonial Chemical’s Cola®Liquid products consist of completely liquid, consumer acceptable non-DEA amides that perform like traditional alkanolamide surfactants. Cola®Teric MSC is a low foaming, biodegradable, amphoteric surfactant with excellent detergency, designed for use in either low or high temperature alkaline and acid cleaners. While some foaming occurs in both alkaline and acid cleaners when used in spray tanks, it is fast breaking and does not accumulate. This property can also prove advantageous when formulating "scrub-vac" cleaners such as those used on indoor-outdoor carpeting or hard surfaces. Cola®Teric MSC is an anhydrous, 100% active, liquid material that is ideally suited for use in dry products containing high percentages of caustic, such as heavy duty all-purpose industrial cleaners. In contrast to low foaming nonionic surfactants, Cola®Teric MSC exhibits low foaming properties even at low temperatures while still maintaining good detergent properties. In addition, it has been determined that up to equal parts of nonionics can be combined with ColaTeric MSC without losing these foaming properties. While ColaTeric MSC can be incorporated directly into aqueous alkaline systems, it neutralizes slowly and may take hours to achieve pH equilibrium. Cola®Teric MSC is readily soluble in aqueous acid systems.

Cola®Teric AP is a salt-free organophosphate amphoteric that provides hydrotroping properties in high alkaline built systems that are formulated with conventional and capped low foaming nonionics. Cola®Teric AP improves the rinsibility of these systems by providing less streaking and redeposition of soil on the cleaned surface. Cola®Teric AP also enhances the detergency of nonionics. Cola®Teric AP is suited for use in industrial detergent cleaners, such as alkaline metal cleaning, high pressure spray cleaners, alkaline degreasers, scrubbing compounds, acid cleaners, transportation cleaners and various other hard surface detergent formulations. Its foaming characteristics are low to moderate, producing a lower and less stable foam than ethoxylated nonionics. Cola®Terge FACC is ideal for use in heavy-duty floor cleaners and wax strippers. Product should be stored between 40°F and 120°F to maintain stability. Based upon chemical composition the product is expected to be completely biodegradable.

Cola®Liquid FACD is a fully biodegradable DEA-free fatty acid amido complex which is exceptionally soluble and stable in systems containing high concentrations of sodium hydroxide, potassium hydroxide, sodium and potassium phosphates, sodium silicates and sodium carbonates. Cola®Liquid FACD offers excellent detergency and wetting properties, particularly silicate containing formulations. In most heavy-duty detergent systems, it offers superior performance and economy when compared to systems requiring the use of hydrotropes such as amphoterics and/or phosphate esters.Cola®Liquid FACD is a low to moderate foamer, producing lower and less stable foam than ethoxylated nonionics and significantly less foam than LAS. Cola®Trope CA is a highly effective hydrotrope with excellent environmental attributes. Many hydrotropes currently on the market are made from environmentally unfriendly materials. For the formulator who is formulating safer, "green" products, hydrotropes such as SXS and cresylic acid based hydrotropes are no longer safe and environmentally acceptable. Cola®Trope CA is derived from natural sources and are non-petroleum based materials and more effective than sodium xylene sulfonate. It has excellent wetting and detergency properties and soluble in up to 20% KOH and 15% NaOH. Cola®Trope CA is virtually non-foaming making it suitable for spray applications. It is recommended for neutral to alkaline pH formulations and not to be used in acid pH formulations.

Cola®Trope INC-K has been developed for use in systems with high electrolytes. Similar to our Cola®Trope INC, it is used to couple nonionics and other surfactants into highly built products. Cola®Trope INC-K is a very versatile, low foaming surfactant and hydrotrope in one molecule. Cola®Trope INC-K is the potassium salt alternative to our Cola®Trope INC product. It is useful in formulations where the sodium salt ion needs to be avoided. In addition, Cola®Trope INC-K has a lower Krafft point than Cola®Trope INC.

Cola®Trope OD is a highly effective hydrotropes with excellent environmental attributes. Many hydrotropes currently on the market today are made from environmentally unfriendly materials. For the formulator who is formulating safer, "green" products, hydrotropes such as SXS and cresylic acid based hydrotropes are no longer safe and environmentally acceptable. Cola®Trope OD is derived from natural sources and are non-petroleum based materials. Cola®Trope OD is more effective than sodium xylene sulfonate and has excellent wetting and detergency properties and soluble in up to 20% KOH and 15% NaOH. Cola®Trope OD is a moderate foamer that is useful in developing vertical foaming cleaners. It is recommended for neutral to alkaline pH formulations and not to be used in acid pH formulations. Cola® Cor 300 is a water-soluble carboxylate corrosion inhibitor designed for metalworking, detergent and aerosol applications. Aqueous solutions are very low foaming and provide effective corrosion protection at typical in use treat levels (0.5-1.0%). For optimum rust protection, solution pH should be adjusted to 8.5 or greater. Cola®Cor 300 exhibits excellent tolerance to water hardness and aqueous films dry to tack free residues. Environmentally safe; does not contain boron, phosphates, chromates, nitrites or metallic cations.
