Kemsurf OPA is an anionic surfactant produced by the sulphonation of oleic acid across the double bonds. This unique molecule exhibits extremely fast foam break within 30 seconds in high agitation systems. The foam breaks so quickly that foaming is virtually eliminated.

The Suga®Fax materials are derived from alkyl polyglucosides, a renewable resource made from coconut oil and corn syrup. These starting materials provide biodegradable, mild surfactants that can function in extreme conditions for a variety of consumer and industrial applications. Because of their safety, Suga®Fax products are excellent in consumer and industrial products, dramatically lowering the risk to human exposure. Suga®Fax surfactants are recommended wherever wetting, hydrotroping, and detergency are needed in a consumer or industrial product.

Cola®Cap MA139 is a 100% active, low-foaming surfactant that provides excellent product color and chemical stability over a wide pH range. Cola®Cap MA139 offers optimization of detergency, wetting and food soil defoaming characteristics. Cola®Cap MA139 incorporates a capping group that provides unique functionality, greater biodegradability and does not interfere with wetting, detergency or surface activity. It is also structurally sufficient to provide good food soil defoaming properties. Cola®Cap MA139 develops low foaming properties without the use of propylene oxide capping that potentially could inhibit biodegradation.

Cola®Dol 173B is a moderate foam nonionic performance blend of ethoxylated alcohols effective in transportation cleaning and industrial degreasing. The combination of ethoxylates provides excellent wetting, emulsification and detergency.

Cola®Fax 3375 is a 95% active phosphate ester. Cola®Fax 3375 is effective as a low foam detergent and hydrotrope. Any foam that is generated in use is fast breaking. Cola®Fax 3375 is especially effective in coupling low foam or capped nonionics into liquid alkaline cleaners.

Cola®Liquid FACD is a fully biodegradable DEA-free fatty acid amido complex which is exceptionally soluble and stable in systems containing high concentrations of sodium hydroxide, potassium hydroxide, sodium and potassium phosphates, sodium silicates and sodium carbonates. Cola®Liquid FACD offers excellent detergency and wetting properties, particularly silicate containing formulations. In most heavy-duty detergent systems, it offers superior performance and economy when compared to systems requiring the use of hydrotropes such as amphoterics and/or phosphate esters.Cola®Liquid FACD is a low to moderate foamer, producing lower and less stable foam than ethoxylated nonionics and significantly less foam than LAS. Straight aqueous solutions or alkaline solutions which contain up to 15% aqueous solutions of Cola®Liquid FACD show no appreciable increase in the viscosity, even under alkaline conditions.

Cola®Trope CA is a highly effective hydrotrope with excellent environmental attributes. Many hydrotropes currently on the market are made from environmentally unfriendly materials. For the formulator who is formulating safer, "green" products, hydrotropes such as SXS and cresylic acid based hydrotropes are no longer safe and environmentally acceptable. Cola®Trope CA is derived from natural sources and are non-petroleum based materials and more effective than sodium xylene sulfonate. It has excellent wetting and detergency properties and soluble in up to 20% KOH and 15% NaOH. Cola®Trope CA is virtually non-foaming making it suitable for spray applications. It is recommended for neutral to alkaline pH formulations and not to be used in acid pH formulations.

Cola®Teric HLA are high foaming amphoteric surfactants that provide outstanding hydrotroping properties in high electrolyte systems. Additionally, they contribute to wetting, detergency, and rinsibility. These high foaming amphoterics produce a stable, slow draining, dense foam, and is ideally suited for use in household and industrial cleaners, mild personal care cleansers, and oilfield related foamers.

Suga®Fax D10NC is an ideal starting point for formulators of high-performance industrial cleaners, household cleaners and oilfield cleaners that also feature greener, milder and safer properties. This 100% naturally-derived, mild surfactant has broad regulatory approvals, very mild characteristics for human contact and safe for release in the environment, all while being an effective detergent and hydrotrope. Suga®Fax D10NC is a 100% biobased material as designated by USDA testing protocol. Suga®Fax D10NC is also readily biodegradable (OECD 301B) and presents no damage to aquatic life. The mild properties of Suga®Fax D10NC in eyes and on skin make it very useful in cleaners where human contact may occur with the cleaning product. Suga®Fax D10NC is stable at all pH ranges for extended periods while providing immediate wetting in water. Suga®Fax D10NC can lower the surface tension of 50% and 25% caustic as well as other builder systems, enabling the builder to fully perform in the formulation.Suga®Fax D10NC may be used in household cleaners for hard surface cleaning, oven cleaning, and in extreme clean-up products for pots and pans. It is also suitable for high-performance cleaners in heavy duty industrial applications.

Cola®Trope INC-K has been developed for use in systems with high electrolytes. Similar to our Cola®Trope INC, it is used to couple nonionics and other surfactants into highly built products. Cola®Trope INC-K is a very versatile, low foaming surfactant and hydrotrope in one molecule. Cola®Trope INC-K is the potassium salt alternative to our Cola®Trope INC product. It is useful in formulations where the sodium salt ion needs to be avoided. In addition, Cola®Trope INC-K has a lower Krafft point than Cola®Trope INC.

Cola®Zolines and their acid salts offer the following functional properties: wetting, emulsifying, detergency, thickening, moisture displacing, corrosion inhibiting, and antistatic effects. These functional properties are useful in agricultural emulsions, industrial cleaners, paints/coatings, plastics, and petroleum applications.

Cola® Cor 300 is a water-soluble carboxylate corrosion inhibitor designed for metalworking, detergent and aerosol applications. Aqueous solutions are very low foaming and provide effective corrosion protection at typical in use treat levels (0.5-1.0%). For optimum rust protection, solution pH should be adjusted to 8.5 or greater. Cola®Cor 300 exhibits excellent tolerance to water hardness and aqueous films dry to tack free residues. Environmentally safe; does not contain boron, phosphates, chromates, nitrites or metallic cations.

Cola®Lux C-8 is an octyldimethylamine oxide from a narrow cut amine, that provides good wetting and very low foaming characteristics. It is compatible with cost surfactants and because there are no amide or ester groups in its chemical structure, Cola®Lux C-8 will not hydrolyze in acid formulations. Cola®Lux C-8 is also stable in highly alkaline and strong electrolyte systems. Cola®Lux C-8 is also uselful in hydrogen peroxide and sodium hypochlorite formulations, providing increased strike for better performance.

Cola® Cor 400 is a water-soluble corrosion inhibitor designed for use in various metalworking, detergent and aerosol applications. Aqueous solutions are very low foaming and will provide effective corrosion protection at recommended use concentrations. The performance properties of Cola® Cor 400 are not affected by water hardness, and aqueous films dry down to non-tacky residues. Cola® Cor 400 demonstrates more potent corrosion inhibiting properties than traditionally used carboxylic types. Cola® Cor 400 is currently being used successfully in low foam, alkaline spray washes for rust protection, as well as, for improved wetting/rinsibility at 0.1-0.3% active.

Cola®Zolines, chemically described as 1–hydroxyethyl 2–alkyl imidazolines, are classified as cationic surface active agents. Cola®Zolines and their acid salts offer the following functional properties: wetting, emulsifying, detergency, thickening, moisture displacing, corrosion inhibiting, and antistatic effects. These functional properties are useful in agricultural emulsions, industrial cleaners, paints/coatings, plastics, and petroleum applications.

Unlike some conventional surfactants used in 50% Caustic Soda solutions, Cola®Trope AHS is readily soluble and requires no prolonged mixing or heating. It is also stable in mineral acids (i.e., 25% HCl, 20% HNO3, and 85% H3PO4). Suggested uses are in the area of industrial and household products where high performance and low foam are required. Metal cleaning, bottle washing concentrates, heavy duty steam cleaning, wax striping, etc., are only a few of the areas where Cola®Trope AHS deserves evaluation

Cola®Terge 6411 is a high foaming anionic surfactant that provides effective detergency and dries completely to a friable powder. Cola®Terge 6411 displays lower dermal/ocular irritation than traditional alkyl sulfates, yet exhibits comparable detergency and foam properties. The benefits of Cola®Terge 6411 are useful in both personal care and industrial applications. In personal care formulations, it can be utilized as the primary surfactant in shampoos, skin cleansers, and bubble baths. In industrial formulations, it can be used as the primary surfactant in high foaming cleaners, hand dishwashes, and carpet cleaners.

Cola® Det 4X Ultra Conc concentrated natural liquid laundry detergent is free of ethoxylates (1,4-dioxane), alcohols, iethanolamides, lauryl sulfates, laureth sulfates, parabens, and formaldehyde. It is prepared with Suga®Nate 160NC, Colonial’s 100% natural APG-based surfactant that off ers powerful cleaning and unparalleled mildness. The remaining ingredients in the concentrate are easily obtainable and derived from natural, renewable resources.

Cola®Cap MA259 is a 100% active, low-foaming surfactant that provides excellent product color and chemical stability over a wide pH range. Cola®Teric 2CM-40CG is a salt-free, methanol-free amphoteric surfactant with mild characteristics useful in a variety of formulations. Cola®Teric 2CM-40CG is used to couple conditioning agents into cleaners such as shampoos and body washes, and provides high foam for body washes, baby shampoos and other mild personal care products. It also has the potential to reduce irritation in other surfactants used in the formulation. Cola®Teric 2CM-40CG is also used in industrial cleaners to couple nonionic surfactants into high levels of electrolytes. Cola®Teric 2CM-40CG has broad pH range stability and ideal for systems where sodium chloride would harm the performance of the final product or present potential corrosion issues.

Cola®Liquid DCT is a Modified Cocamide DIPA and Tall Oil Soap. Cola®Liquid DCT is an excellent substitute for 2:1 DEA amides. Colonial Chemical’s Cola®Liquid products consist of completely liquid, consumer acceptable non-DEA amides that perform like traditional alkanolamide surfactants. Cola®Liquid DCT can be used in any application where traditional alkanolamide surfactants have been used.

Cola®Teric EHP is a low foaming hydrotropic detergent with good cleaning properties used in metal cleaning formulations. Cola®Teric EHP has excellent acid and alkaline stability properties and is compatible with anionic, cationics, and nonionics.

Cola®Lux SO provides good detergency, exceptionally high foaming, and viscosity forming properties. It can be formulated with anionic, nonionic, and cationic materials. This product is recommended for shampoos, bubble baths, hand soaps, air conditioners, cream rinses, creams and lotions, shaving creams, household products, and industrial and institutional products.

Cola®Teric CYAB is a low foaming amphoteric with excellent coupling properties for industrial products. It provides good detergency in systems that require high cloud points and acts as an effective hydrotrope to couple nonionic surfactants into systems containing moderate amounts of electrolyte. This lower chain length betaine offers low foam at high and low pH ranges is useful for improved detergency.

Cola®Wet TDS-35, chemically described as tetrasodium dicarboxyethyl stearyl sulfosuccinamate, is an anionic surfactant displaying a wide array of functional properties. This versatility makes it ideal for use in industrial detergents, agricultural, cosmetic, and textile products, as well as in emulsion polymerization of vinyl monomers.

Cola®Liquid DC-2 is a (modified 2:1 fatty acid diisopropanolamide) DEA-free fatty amide designed for effective detergency and wetting while demonstrating controlled foaming.

Cola®Trope SC-45 is a high foaming, chlorine stable, caustic soluble surfactant and hydrotrope. Cola®Trope SC-45 is an aqueous solution of an anionic surfactant containing both sulfonate and carboxylate functionality. It is stable to hypochlorites, and soluble in caustic and electrolytic solutions. It also wets rapidly, and has excellent detergent properties. Cola®Trope SC-45 is used in applications in alkaline spray foam cleaners containing chlorine, and in other formulations where high foam and excellent detergency are required.

Cola®Fax 3660 is an anionic surfactant for industrial applications that provides good wetting, detergency, hydrotroping, and electrolyte stability. It is fully biodegradable. It is useful in hard surface cleaning, emulsion polymer emulsifier, vehicle cleaners, corrosion inhibitors, lubricant anti-wear properties and textile wetting.

Cola®Teric SC is a biodegradable amphoteric surfactant for cleaning applications at both high and low pH. This high-foaming hydrotrope provides superior cleaning performance over a majority of amphoteric surfactants.
