"At the beginning of 2014 , father and son Wille started building their own filament extruder. They decided to do this because of the growing interest in 3D printing technology, the knowledge of plastic within the company and the company network. 3D4Makers is the result from a company that primarily dealt with selling plastic raw materials. Now the 3D4Makers team consists of five members, each with their own specialties. While building the filament extruder and testing it we found out that moisture in the filament can cause problems while printing. Moisture in the filament could also lower the quality of the printing product. 3D4Makers took this problem into account while building the filament extruder. Normally a filament extruder uses a several meters long waterbed to cool the filament. During this process the filament absorbs water. 3D4Makers chose not to use this cooling technique which means that the filament does not come into contact with water during the production process. On top of that the filament is directly packaged in a vacuum packaging after the production process. This production process makes the 3D4Makers filament particularly suitable for FDM and FFF 3D printers. The material has an excellent adhesion between the layers. This results in great improvement of the impact resistance, strength, durability, the printing process and “warping”. The 3D4Makers filament comes with a product information folder that contains technical information, printer settings, storage information and safety information. Basically everything you need to know."

"CarbonX is an advanced materials company co-founded by Rutger van Raalten and Daniela Sordi in 2014. The company is the sole producer and supplier of CarbonX® worldwide. Rutger van Raalten was part of the team that invented CarbonX® in 2007 at the Department of Chemical Engineering at TU Delft, for which a patent granted in 2009. As an expert in functionalised carbon nanomaterials for smart and sustainable applications, Daniela Sordi was the first to validate the potential of this new material. Our Vision is the quest for faster, smaller, stronger, and more powerful technologies has led to incredible progress. But somewhere along the way, the use of our planet’s resources took a very wrong turn. We believe in a better, more sustainable world. One in which we use and re-use our planet’s resources more efficiently, generate less waste, and rely less on raw materials from rare or virgin sources. A world in which progress no longer comes at the cost of the environment. To make this vision a reality, we must re-think the very materials we use. Manufacturers looking to enhance material properties in their products are often forced to choose between the performance they want and the sustainability we need. But with CarbonX® they don’t have to. CarbonX® is more than just carbon. CarbonX® is a revolutionary new carbon material that can unlock new design possibilities to improve performance without compromising sustainability. It can be used to make stronger, more lightweight, and longer-lasting products with the capacity to actively reduce CO2 and particle emissions, generate less waste, improve recyclability, and embrace circularity."

"Since our establishment in 1970, we have, through the leveraging of our proprietary technology and know-how, witnessed extraordinary growth as a formulator of resin compounds and products tailored to meet the many and exacting demands of our loyal customers around the world. As you can see on our company homepage, we are in the process of further expanding our lineup of products to include not only epoxy-type products (liquids and powders), but also a range of urethane and silicone-based insulating, coating, and conductive paste materials. Our products are currently used in everything from electronics to automobile parts, industrial machinery, sporting goods, and other items for daily-use. We deliver products to markets mainly in Japan, Europe, China, and Southeast Asia, but our reach is global. Thanks to your continued support and patronage, we now offer over 900 types of products to over 1,000 companies both inside and outside of Japan. In 2003, we became an affiliated member of the Arakawa Chemical Industries, Ltd. Group, further strengthening our development capabilities and allowing us to proceed with the development of products which make full use of new materials and synthesis technologies. In 2007, we established a new head office, an R&D center, and a factory for the production of liquid-based products in Hadano City, Japan. In 2011, we began operations at a factory geared towards the production of conductive materials—replete with its own clean environments—and since then have been moving forward in the development of other production environments and facilities that can produce new types of products. Moving forward, the company will strive to create new and innovative products that bring forth new forms of wealth creation to our customers. We will do this by quickly adapting to the ever-evolving needs and technological trends of the modern world, including those relating to environmental issues, the electrification of the automobile, and the automobile industry's increasing demand for ever lighter materials and parts."
