Composite Materials Surface Finish A Base White have been developed for the fiberglass industry where reduced burn characteristics are needed. When properly applied, Composite Materials Surface Finish A coats will meet ul 94v-0 requirements. Sfp gel coats are formulated with a brominated polyester resin system. Federal, state or local regulations may limit their use in certain applications. Check with the appropriate governing agency. Since the flame properties of sfp gel coats in the cured state will vary depending on catalyzation, ultimate cure, and the laminating materials used, it is suggested that the user submit samples of the entire composite for testing by an independent lab. Composite Materials Surface Finish A gel coats are designed for interior, non-water immersion service only. Because these gel coats are formulated with a brominated polyester resin, they do not have good resistance to UV and/or water attack. These gel coats are ready to use, easy to spray, sag resistant, fast curing and require only the addition of the proper amount of an appropriate methyl ethyl ketone peroxide to cure. Sfp's are available in many visually appealing colors. Certain custom color matching is available on request.

Crystic® Polyester Resin 397PA is a pre-accelerated isophthalic/neopentyl glycol polyester resin with a high heat deflection temperature and good water and chemical resistance. It is recommended for the fabrication of high-performance laminates for critical applications in aggressive environments. This product is suitable for contact molding and filament winding processes.

Crystic® Polyester Resin 921 is an un-accelerated, orthophthalic, unsaturated polyester resin with a low viscosity to accept the maximum level of filler particles. It has been developed specifically for polymer concrete. Crystic® 921PALV is a lower viscosity, thixotropic version of this product. It is suitable for pigmented castings filled to a low level or not filled at all.

Crystic® Polyester Resin 272 is an isophthalic polyester resin. It is recommended for use in high-performance applications using filament winding, pultrusion, and centrifugal or contact molding processes. The fully cured laminates have high mechanical strength and excellent strength retention in wet environments at temperatures up to 60ºC.

Crystic® Orthophthalic Spray Topcoat 408PA White is a pre-accelerated flowcoat with excellent scuff resistance, designed for use in general purpose GRP moldings. It is based on a high quality orthophthalic unsaturated polyester resin and is suitable for all general molding requirements. The product is pigmented using a highly UV resistant grade of titanium dioxide.

Crystic® Vinyl Ester Resin VE679-03PA is a pre-accelerated, DCPD modified, vinyl ester resin developed for use as a infusion resin with a wide range of gel times with various catalysts. It has excellent blister resistance and significantly reduces the occurrence of print through, to produce durable moldings with an enhanced surface finish.

Crystic® Resin S15.6 is a very flexible unsaturated polyester resin based on adipic acid. It can be used alone or in conjunction with other polyester resins for the manufacturing of flexible products. Impregnating resins particularly isophtalic resins can be flexibilised by addition of Crystic® Resin S15.6 without any significant impact on the chemical resistance properties.

Crystic® Polyester Resin 406COS is a non-thixotropic, non-accelerated, orthophthalic unsaturated polyester resin used for casting, artificial marble, and solid surface applications. This product has a 5-minute gel time. It contains UV absorbers, allowing very good resistance to yellowing and UV radiation.

Crystic® Polyester Resin U904LVK is an orthophtalic, pre accelerated, non thixotropic, unsaturated polyester resin. It has to be used when good mechanical properties and good heat resistance are required. The product has been designed to be catalysed with a conventional MEKP at 50% while giving a very fast demold time under quite low exotherm.

Polycor® 99C Colors pigmented gel coats formulated for the casting industry MACT compliant resistant to water and certain chemicals provides durability and reduced maintenance. Main applications areas are building and construction, composites, marine etc.

POLYCOR® TOP COAT PA WHITE 9199 - A pre-accelerated top coat based on Isophthalic unsaturated polyester resin. It is cured using MEKP peroxide.This TOP COAT product is formulated to be applied to the back surface of laminates to provide a tack free surface finish. It should not be used as a gel coat. This topcoat is formulated to meet the rigid requirements of transportation,boating and sanitary applications.

Polynt Group 22-00 series gelcoat is formulated from high quality polyester resin, which cures to form a tough, glossy finish with superior gloss and water resistance. 22-series gelcoat does not contain filler.

POLYCOR® LP BR WHITE 9199 - A pre-accelerated gel coat based on modified Isophthalic unsaturated polyester resin. It is cured using MEKP peroxide.This product is formulated for use in a variety of industrials composite parts.

Polynt Group 255X series gelcoats are formulated specifically for the fiberglass industry where reduced flame propagation properties are needed. Its specific formulation results in a unique hardness that helps to prevent graffiti and scratches. 255X series gelcoats are designed for interior application. Because of the special additives that improve hardness and decrease the flame spread, 255X series are not recommended for parts used under direct sun exposure or prolonged water immersion.

Polynt Group 50, 50X - easy to sand and polish; excellent resistance to yellowing and fading due to sun exposure; resistance to thermal change and weathering; higher gloss recovery when polishing back aged or from lower gloss mold; excellent blister resistance. Main applications areas are building and construction, composites etc.

These all add up to higher quality appeal in FRP parts made from Polynt’s ArmorFlex® HIGH GLOSS BUFFBACK® gel coats. ArmorFlex® 953 Series gel coats have enabled customers to meet and surpass all requirements of the American National Standard for plastic bathtubs,shower receptors and shower stalls,ANSI Z124.1,.2 and .3 –1995,Sec. 6.1.1. Gel coats in the 953 Series require only the addition of the proper amount of the appropriate methyl ethyl ketone peroxide to cure. ArmorFlex® HIGH GLOSS BUFFBACK® gel coats are available in the same wide range of colors as other POLYCOR® gel coats. Refer to Polynt’s POLYCOR® Color Card for color selection. Standard base white ArmorFlex® is 953WJ340.

Polynt Group 224X series clear gelcoats are enamel like coatings developed for the composites and fiberglass industry. These gelcoats are used as an enamel coating, similar to paint and are often used as a translucent coating. The 224X series gelcoat can also be used to protect the laminate against u.V. Rays. 224X series gel coats are sag resistant and have a fast curing system. This coating system is ready to spray, requiring only the proper addition of an appropriate methyl ethyl ketone peroxide to cure.Formulated for spray and roll application.Fast gel time and cure time that provide a good cure.Require only the addition of a proper amount of mekp to cure.Resistant to thermal change and weathering for parts in contact with water, severe conditions we recommend an iso/npg base gelcoat for marine applications. Parts that have to be assembled should be sanded and cleaned, to obtain a good adherence.

Polynt Group 222X is clear and transparent for granite applications. It is generally used in composites applicatons.

Polycor® Fireblock 2335 SP - intumescent fire retardant properties that conforms to EN 45545 for internal panels in conjunction with fireblock resin systems. Main applications areas are home and domestic applications, mass transports etc.

POLYCOR® ISO NPG PA WHITE 9199 - A pre-accelerated gel coat based on Isophthalic Neopentylglycol unsaturated polyester resin. It is cured using MEKP peroxide.This high performance gel coat is formulated for use in sanitary and marine applications or GRP application where resistance to water and blistering are needed.

ArmorFlex® 99F gel coats are advanced technology polyesters that have been formulated for the fiberglass industry. ArmorFlex® 99F gel coats have lower volatile organic compounds (VOC’s) than standard gel coats.

Armorflex® 953 SP is flexible NPG with added crack resistance and excellent UV properties. Good resistance to water and osmotic blistering. Low back side tack and easy to spray. Main applications areas are building and construction, home and domestic applications etc.

Polynt Group 25 series gelcoats are formulated from premium polyester resins and fire retardant additives to achieve optimal fire retardancy properties and low slow smoke development. They are suitable for applications requiring a surface with resistance to flame spread and smoke development.

RESOLCOAT 7060(S) COULEUR is an tintable epoxy gelcoat (RAL color chart). The RESOLCOAT 7060(S) COLOR / 7064 & 7067 epoxy system is a tinted gelcoat formulated for the production of molds & composite parts. It is available in WHITE & BLACK Nevertheless, a post-cure will make it possible to obtain optimal thermomechanical properties. The 7060S COLOR version is an accelerated version which offers greater responsiveness and reduced working time. Two hardeners are available: a slow (7064) & a fast (7067) depending on the desired reactivity. in standard. It is also possible to choose the desired RAL color by combining 7060 BASE with our PIG RAL xxxx epoxy pigment pastes. The gelcoat hardens at room temperature and can be unmolded without post-curing.

RESOLCOAT 7060 is an epoxy clear or pigmented Gelcoat. Which has improved UV resistance, room temperature cure & high gloss and choice of slow and fast hardeners. RESOLCOAT 7060 epoxy gelcoat is specially formulated for the production of structural composites parts or tools requiring high mechanical & abrasion properties and room temperature curing. Two versions are available depending on the pot life needed : 1h45min for large parts or 16min for high production outputs, with a very fast curing time in film for the fast version - closer to a polyester curing time than to a typical epoxy. In both cases, the gelcoat may be ordered in its clear version (mainly for parts) or colored version for tools or parts production.
