Inks: Paste and liquid inks, and overprint varnishes. S-396 N1 exhibits outstanding hardness and scuff resistance. For very thin films, shot milling may be used to further reduce particle size and efficacy.
Coatings: Can, coil, powder, wood, UV, and industrial coatings. S-396 N1 offers increased hardness, recoatability, abrasion resistance, and anti-blocking characteristics. It improves Taber abrasion and can marking resistance when used in abrasion-resistant shelving.
S-396 N1 is easily incorporated with mild agitation or high-speed mixing. Making a 30-35% pre-dispersion in an appropriate varnish may be an alternate incorporation method to ensure complete dispersion.
