It is used in pH 3.4–4.4 formulations as a quaternary ammonium salt as a conditioner. It is used to replace quaternary cationic surfactants in rinse-off conditioners. Chemoryl™ LG Surfactant is a naturally derived non-ionic surfactant. It generates exceptional foam for a nonionic surfactant, comparable with foam obtained using conventional anionic surfactants. Used as a co-surfactant, it can reduce the total active ingredient content of foaming formulations without altering their performance and is ideal for a wide variety of personal care applications. It is compatible with all classes of surfactants, including cationics. It can be used in conjunction with difficult-to-thicken surfactants, such as sulfosuccinates, to enhance viscosity buildup and also help increase foam volume in low-foaming formulations. Silsense® Copolyol-1 Silicone is a 100% active dimethicone copolyol blend.
